Nothing, the property did not honor the booking we arrived at the premises and attempted multiple times to be received by the property, not only did the bell at the gate go unanswered but their phone also kept going on voicemail, even the email sent to raise our disappointment went unacknowledged by them...disgusted is an understatement to describe the manner we were treated.

Staff was really friendly. The Lodge is situated at a very peaceful (quite) location. Breakfast was delicious. Room was clean.
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
I especially enjoyed exploring the farm and nearby roads (very quiet). Beautiful views in a farm setting. The cottage is spacious and well kitted out for self catering.
Lovely location for a quiet weekend away. Enjoyed that the cottage had two comfortable bedrooms both en suite. Hosts were friendly and helpful at all times. Lots of space for the dogs to roam and explore.

Gewel is an immaculate guesthouse, very well equipped and so beautifully looked after. Our room was comfortable, and we appreciated the unexpected extras like the crockery and cutlery, fridge and tea/coffee in our room too. The garden is pretty and it was such a bonus to be able to use the lovely braai area too. There is a pool and a play space for kids. The guesthouses in a quiet, leafy neighbourhood; it is well fenced with remote access and parking is inside the garden.
The cottages are very well equipped with quality beds, linen and all you need in the kitchen. It is a quiet, peaceful environment - all that was needed for a good overnight stay.
Off the beaten track, quaint and quiet farm stay. Beautiful vista. Attention to detail in making the rooms comfortable! Loved the coloured beads on the taps indicating hot and cold.
