Rest Guesthouse, hotel in Dullstroom

Boasting a patio with garden views, a garden and barbecue facilities, Rest Guesthouse can be found in Dullstroom, close to Dullstroom Railway Station and 43 km from Bergendal Monument.

The unit we stayed in at Rest Guesthouse was a private room with it's own bathroom. The bathroom included a luxury bath as well as a big open shower. It had a kitchen with a kettle, cutlery, plates, glasses and a mini bar fridge. The unit also had a tv and a cupboard. The beds where the absolute most comfortable beds I have ever slept on and the bedding was of high quality and super soft. The unit had a very luxury and modern feel to it.

Peace Corner Cottages, hotel in Dullstroom

Formerly a milking shed, Peace Corner is situated in the old part of the Dullstrom. It features a garden, barbecue facilities, free WiFi and private parking.

We were booked into the Buttercup room. When we arrived, it looked if the room were not used for a while as there were spiderwebs in the roof corners, dirty and broken wood behind headboard of bed, old and stained bedding, dirty multiplugs, etc. When I called Ilanthe, she immediate moved us to another room that was in an immaculate condition without any questions!! I really appreciate the fact that problems was addressed and I will definitely stay there again.

Schaefers' Halt, hotel in Dullstroom

Boasting mountain views, Schaefers' Halt offers accommodation with patio, around 30 km from Dullstroom Railway Station. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking.

Although 20 minutes out of Dullstroom, this is a perfect country getaway. The owners have done well balancing luxury and rustic feel. The well marked 3km trail to a waterfall was a highlight. We stayed in the snug cottage which is just that...small but snug with a fireplace in the bedroom for those cold winter nights. Beautiful surroundings with three smallish dams on the property. Very friendly hosts made us feel welcome. A must stay for anyone wanting to get away into the countryside for a weekend.

Amberley is a most beautiful retreat! A little far out of town but well worth the drive for the peace and quiet. The farm is private so you get to fish in your own private dams which are well stocked. The staff, Elias and Sarah Jane are wonderful and cater for your every need. They even "babysat" my furry baby while we were out! The house is always warm and welcoming which we so appreciated in the cold weather. Mike, the manager, called in too and was quick to sort out any problems we had.

The remoteness suited us as we wanted to be away from anywhere. Just note that it is quite a drive to get to Dullstroom but that suited us perfectly. House is old school and quaint, charming. Very old school nostalgic feelings.

Aden house is spectacular - we loved every second spent there. Have no idea why anyone would complain about hairdryers or any of the other 'complaints', honestly if you want peace and quiet and magnificent skies/views, this is the place to be. There are no other houses in sight of Aden house, it's private and extremely well-kitted out.

The perfect country-side location with views of endless mountains, vast beautiful open fields and forests. Yet close enough to the beautiful quaint town of Dullstroom to explore history and highly recommended restaurants. The Villa on the property is very well equipped, especially loved the fluffy duvet and blanket, stackdoors offering stunning frontal views, a picnic set/bag for hiking and bowl of fresh fruit. Would love to book the main Farmhouse next time for the whole family.
