The rooms were nice and clean and in the mornings a really good breakfast was served. Upon booking Gem provided us with many suggestions on activities and even helped us by booking guided boat tours for us. We’d love to stay here again :)

This hotel was exceptional, we visited after the major Thypoon.
The staff were such beautiful people.
I highly recommend this hotel .its only a 15min walk to beach 1 .
I could not believe how helpful the manager was after they had this terrible Thypoon which destroyed a lot of this island.
I would love to return to this hotel in the future

Quiet and beautifully located Homestay with a lovely host. Super helpful and caring. We were able to check in much earlier due to our earlier arriving night bus. Cheap scooter rental available (I recommend to get one because of the location).

Set back from the road a little bit- so was quiet and peaceful. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautifully set up, very comfortable, safe, and private. The breakfast was so good - really tasty, with lots of options.
Superb place to stay if you are planning holiday in Cat Ba. Nice, clean, spacious huts with bathrooms and AC. Nice, quiet location, but still just 10-15 minutes to the city center by public bus (pink one) or taxi. The hotel serves the best food in Cat Ba, you can't beat their seafood soup, seafood noodle/fried rice or spring rolls. They will also help you to arrange trips or bus/boat tickets. 100% recommendation!
I recommend this place as it is good value for money
Our room was clean, had a mini bar , comfortable beds. Staff was friendly and helpful. He provided us with great tips for local restaurants, rent a scooter for us. The place itself is also very quiet which is charming and so cozy. Breakfast was also tasty,

Best hostel I've stayed regarding the room. Big comfy bed in a private pod, lots of storage, private locker, power sockets, small light.. A/C and fan in the room. 1 bathroom for 6 beds in the female only dorm.
Great location too, so don't forget to enjoy the rooftop. The staff at the bar is very attentive. The girl at the reception had a great level of English and was very helpful unlike some of her colleagues downstairs which could use some hospitality training..
Great value for money, great location and great hosts. The rooms were clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast is served every morning and it includes a variety of fruits, yogurt, pancakes, bread, coffee and tea. Check at the reception for tours around the bay as they have a couple of options, they are well organised and they are cheaper than booking online.
They also own a vegetarian restaurant which is worth trying!
Great location - very central so you find a lot of restaurants in walking distance but still quiet so you get some sleep :) the staff at the reception and at breakfast was really friendly and helpful! we booked a trekking tour as well used the laundrey service and both worked perfectly and to a very fair price. Breakfast was great as well, with some changing buffet options, fresh fruits as well as your choice of egg dish. Would definitively come back when in Cat Ba and can highly recommend!
The breakfast was quiet good. Nothing really outstanding, but pancakes, watermelon and omelets.
You can get really cheap private rooms on Cat Ba. But if you are a solo traveler, then I would consider this hostel because of the breakfast.
Love House is a quiet, charming place and really beautiful, much nicer than all the big hotels in the city.
The host family is friendly, the restaurant is super delicious (including vegetarian options).
The room is a good size, comfortable bed and nice hot shower).
We had a nice breakfast with good coffee every morning (included in the cheap price).
Scooters for 100 k are needed to get to the city or national park (nice way though).

We booked this hotel last moment.it has great location in Cat ba City center. We got a really nice spacious room on 6th floor.i booked Sea view and was nice balcony overlooking to the sea.since it is not on the main road it is still quieter so perfect.
We loved Tien and his service was excellent.from the moment we walk into the hotel, advising for excursion, booking us for one and to the moment we sat in taxi to go on.really kind and attentive.
Thank you for short but a super stay. Great value for a price.
