Location for Morgan State House Inn is central, parking at a cost round the back of the property was key coded for entry, which was added security for the rental. House is old but well kept. The room we stayed in had a little kitchenette that we used whilst staying.

The hosts were very friendly, but not intrusive and, quite rightly, proud of their home.
I believe there are just 3 or 4 letting rooms all sympathetically decorated in keeping with the age of the property.
It was our first B&B and we enjoyed good conversation at breakfast with our fellow guests and Farm Aid 2024 goers.
We were offered a lovely choice for breakfast, served at a beautifully set table. John's pancakes 🥞 were just perfect on Sunday morning.

For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Badly furnished cramped old town house, questionable cleanliness, no staff to greet, bad neighborhood unsupervised parking. We run a bed and breakfast and would have been embarrassed to receive guests in their conditions. Charged us even though we met our obligations and their standards were low.
I was pleased with the overall appearance of the hotel. The availability of breakfast even at a cost was a nice option. My floor was very quiet even on the weekend. Staff was very approachable and helpful.
Tina was a great host, he has a wonderful house with all the original millwork, patterned plaster walls and more. The bed was very comfortable compared to the rock-hard slabs at most places. If I find myself in Troy, we will most definitely stay again.
Owner was very friendly, made excellent breakfast, provided beautifully curated rooms with high cleanliness standards, dogs were absolutely adorable and friendly
