Where to start! We loved our stay at Jackson Hole Hideout. It is the antidote to overpriced generic chain hotels.
The whole concept is really well thought through. It’s a beautiful small lodge in the woods, 10 mins drive outside Jackson with about 8 rooms. There is a large social breakfast /kitchen area, shared lounge space with piano, library and games, and shared outdoor terrace in addition to the private rooms many of which have private balconies.
The design is beautiful wood construction - high ceilings and well sized rooms. The feeling is that of staying in a “home from home”, in that the owners and innkeepers have anticipated every practical detail you might need for a vacation in the area (e.g. pantry with snacks, bear spray, binoculars). But it nails the feeling of it being “your” home for the days you are there - and this is so hard to achieve. It really is all in the details- most of which aren’t listed or mentioned in the venue listing.
Huge credit and mention must go to the hosts/innkeepers Amy and Eddy. Exceptionally welcoming, incredibly helpful with advice on trails etc in the area, fantastic breakfast being laid on with a different menu every day. Can’t speak highly enough of their warmth as people, but also professionalism as hosts. It was a genuine pleasure to chat with them, and also multiple other guests during our stay.
I stay in a lot of hotels, and am usually pretty underwhelmed with the larger brands especially at the more ‘luxury’ end of the price spectrum. Jackson Hole Hideout is that rare place that offers a distinct and premium experience for people who find the branded places too soulless and ‘nickel and diming’. It has character and quality. Thank you!
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Jackson is an expensive place to stay and this was by far the cheapest option which is why I say it’s good value for money, relatively speaking for the area.
We found the facilities plentiful for the number of guests and generally it was surprisingly quiet.
Pros of the stay were:
- really friendly staff
- great location for early mornings in the park
- quiet area
- easy to walk into the main square of Jackson
- comfortable bed
It was a quiet space and felt private when you were in the pods
I like that there were lockers under the bed and separate down the hall which were easy to use
Great location walk to everything. Quiet. Staff were exceptional. Comfortable bed. Large room. Very clean. Loved our stay. Parking good. Highly recommend.
Great location for access to Grand Teton NP and only a couple of minutes from downtown Jackson. Very comfortable and spacious room, nice warm showers. The room was very quiet overnight despite being so close to the road.
Was located on the second floor. It has an outside and an inside entrance to the room. That was nice for weather issues. It was quiet and off the main road so there was no noise factor. The room was quaint and decorated to fit the area.
