For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
Check in was fast and friendly. The front desk staff both evening check in and morning check out were outstanding. We felt welcome, informed, and safe
Breakfast was a great selection. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. We loved the shampoo bottles in the shower, made us feel more at home. The entire facility was extremely clean. Thank you.
The hotel location is perfect, and the hotel room was outright beautifully theme designed. The reception area is large and furnished in a charming 50s home style with very comfortable armchairs. I forgot a jacket in my hotel room and staff posted it for free to an international address. A big parking garage is conveniently located just a few steps from the hotel and is paid through the hotel reception. The entire city is within walking distance.
The good:
1) location is outstanding right on the pedmall, and it is still quiet in the room at night. And I love the lobby.
2) the decor will make any Iowa grad immediately feel nostalgic.
3) the gym is a fantastic, legit gym with everything a gym rat could desire.
