Paul was a great host...warm and friendly. Breakfast was delicious; generous servings and a lovely variety of food..served beautifully in the gorgeous dining room. It was nice to have two options to pick from when we would like breakfast served.
The rooms are beautiful with all of the amenities you could want. Our bed was so comfortable and we enjoyed the whirlpool tub in the evening after a day of driving, shiopping, and dining! 5 stars for sure!!

The location is great. It’s a beautiful place. We had everything we could possibly need. Very clean. I love the artwork. It was so cold outside during our stay, so we spent more time than anticipated inside and it was cozy and warm.

Farmers Guest House is located in Galena in the Illinois Region. A full american breakfast is offered daily. Every room includes a flat-screen TV with satellite channels.
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
The King Suite was very large, tastefully decorated and very quiet. The bathroom was superb, the very large bed super comfy and the self service breakfast sufficient. The front office and housekeeping staff were most kind.
The Nook was a beautiful, cozy place to stay in a charming neighborhood just blocks from Galena's downtown area where we visited shops and picked up food after our long drive. I would book the Nook again in a heartbeat and will be looking at their other properties as potential rentals for future trips. Loved the Nook!
Breakfast was nice. Would be great to see a couple more gluten free options. Loved, loved, loved the fireplace in the lobby & the breakfast room. Loved the quaint little bar. The decor was pleasant. Linens were better than a lot of hotels. Loved the staff, Alicia and Teri were awesome. Allie cared for my room. Left her a tip. Cleanest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Staff like this is definitely The Stoney Creek Inn's greatest asset. This is my 2nd stay.
It was the first time staying at a bed and breakfast as opposed to a hotel. I found the experience very pleasing. It was a nice change of pace to have a homecooked meal for breakfast and have nice conversation with the other guests staying at Belle Aire Mansion.
So happy to have found this bed and breakfast. It made our trip to Galena exceptional. We started in room 7. It was so cozy, clean, and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again! Worth the money for sure!
This was an exceptional property with great hosts who kept us updated. Very well equipped with everything you would need for the stay. All beds were comfortable even the bed settee. Had a small BBQ which we used. In a quiet location.
