Patrick the owner was a wonderful host. He’s done a fantastic job in appointing this residence which was originally built in 1798. He also did his utmost to accomodate all of our special requests. Our room was spotless and our bed was even more comfortable than our bed at home. I would enthusiastically recommend this bed and breakfast.
The location is great for Elizabeth City. Walking distance to the quaint downtown. Great food suggestions from our innkeeper. Breakfast was very good and Patrick served us right on time.
The room was lovely. There was a living room and a bedroom. The home is one of the oldest in Elizabeth City. The host was delightful, bed comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Blue Ruby is everything you want in a Bed and Breakfast. I would highly recommend staying here.
