Can’t turn off the heater and it’s LOUD. So loud you can’t sleep . The bath is dirty , the shower won’t work. There aren’t any windows, the rooms hot and stuffy. The blinds have to be shut to have any privacy so no natural light or no privacy. Bed doesn’t have a duvet cover just a sheet. The sauna and hot tub aren’t very accessible and I wouldn’t trust the cleanliness as not even the bath is clean.

Lovely little hotel in middle of Carmel in quiet street. Very cosy suite with log fire. Delicious breakfast and very helpful and kind person on reception when we arrived. Sweet little garden with sitting area outside our room.

The location was excellent. It was central in Carmel but set slightly back from the main Avenue and so it was more private and quiet on an evening. No traffic noise. We were made to feel very well from the minute that we arrived. The staff offered good advice on places of interest. The breakfast was a lovely addition and the afternoon cookies and drinks were a lovely touch. Housekeeping was very good-the rooms always had plenty of fresh towels/ linens.
Clean, bright, tastefully furnished. Delighted that double bedroom was separate from living space with single bed. Small kitchen with fridge useful for breakfasts. Pretty property, quiet, parking, great location.
Great location, a few blocks from the city "center", which is charming and lovely. Carmel-by-the-Sea is a wonderful discovery in California with its charming stores and art galeries and low lighting in the evening.
Our room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. It was great having the balcony to sit on in the morning. The bathroom was great, and the property was in a great location for the restaurants and shops.
