Breakfast was excellent -- homemade and delicious. I enjoyed being able to select where to sit to enjoy the meal-- either in the dining room or outside on one of the porches.

Breakfast was delicious, convenient, and timely. The room and bed was very comfortable. The amenities were awesome to have. Easy access to bikes and beach chairs/towels was great and we didn’t have to worry about bringing our own.
Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated The Mason Cottage Downtown offers accommodations with free bikes and free Wifi.

We stayed two nights but could only stay for one breakfast due to a prior commitment on our part. We loved that the cottage was in easy walking distance between Washington Street Mall and the beach. The free availability of beach bikes was very nice as you could ride just about anywhere without having to ever move your car. Rochelle and Eric were excellent hosts and extremely pleasant to talk with. The option to have breakfast on the veranda was very nice and the rockers on the front porch were a nice touch. Cleanliness is a top priority for me when I stay anywhere as my husband can attest, and The Mason Cottage pass the test with flying colors. The extra free towels and coffee bar was very considerate. Although we did not use them, the spa robes were a nice touch. The water pressure was very good considering the age of the home.

Excellent breakfast. The owners made accommodations for my gluten/dairy/meat free diet, and the food was still great! The room was super comfortable and had everything we needed. Bathroom was small but well stocked. Complimentary Wine and cheese and cookies and lemonade on the two days we were there. Coffee was ready at 6am so I could grab a little before my morning run on the boardwalk. The Inn was only about a block from the boardwalk. The Washington street mall was a shirt walk away.
Everything was so great; not having ever stayed at a bed and breakfast, I wasn’t sure what to expect but there was just as much privacy as there was charm. The cottage area was so sweet; I had such a great coffee in the morning sitting outside in the outdoor lounge area. We also greatly appreciated that our room had a bathroom and shower! Everything was perfect.
Have done many trips to Cape May.This B and B was great.Location was amazing.Outside lawn,flowers and porch well maintained.Inside very clean and quiet.24 hr Kuerig which was well appreciated.Breakfast on both mornings were delicious.Another advantage is you are allowed a parking spot on the property-you are so close to everything you don t have to move.
The property was close to the beach and within driving distance to the boardwalk/town. It was quiet at night. The ambiance of the bed and breakfast was very nice. The rooms were charming. The breakfast, afternoon tea, and wine and cheese were excellent. The staff were helpful and friendly. They offered beach chairs, beach towels, and umbrellas to borrow for free.
The room and location was great. The only critique we have is that the name of the hotel says "Bed and Breakfast" but we didn't get a breakfast. Also no doors on the rooms were a little weird especially if we stayed with another couple or our children. Other than that the staff was awesome and we just love the whole property.
It exceeded our expectations, a very clean and quaint place with a great location. Susan and Carl are incredibly welcoming, breakfast was outstanding! They even had snacks and cake for us ready all the time which we enjoyed tremendously. They gave great recommendations about the area. We look forward to coming back and will certainly stay here again!
