This hotel was so welcoming. When we arrived, someone gave us a tour of the hotel. Subsequently, she suggested places to visit or eat, and remained available for our questions. plus there was always freshly prepared food on the table. it was very warm. in addition to the smell of the hotel which was very pleasant. Ultimately, the meals were very good. it was homemade food made with love. they were very respectful of my gluten allergy. If we visit again, this hotel is gonna be our first choice!

Location is wonderful. Host was very friendly and helpful. Told me about the bus which was much better than trying to park. So much to do around there, hiking shopping, boating etc. Breakfasts were terrific! Adequate parking which is really important in Bar Harbor.

Check in was smooth and easy to find the room and there is lots of other spaces for the guests to enjoy and hang out in. Great information provided from the host on the Acadia National Park. The pool was a nice feature and we enjoyed a swim. The hot tub wasn't on (you must phone ahead at least 6 1/2 hours in advance for them to turn it on). If you are hoping to use the pool room and hot tub definitely phone ahead in advance to make sure its functional.

The Inn on Mount Desert was a treat. I stayed there on Christmas Eve, and was able to walk the Coastal Path twice, and a short walk, about 2.5 blocks, brought me past two churches preparing for evening services, to a charming boutique, Sagegrass Gallery, that was open, and the town itself, with its window fronts so creatively adorned for the season.
The room had everything designed for comfort, convenience, and cleanliness. I especially liked the modern bathroom heating.
Breakfast was served restaurant style, and was also excellent.
Great location just minutes away from downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia. Much cheaper than staying in the middle of the city. The free Island Explorer bus stops right in front of the motel twice an hour to take you downtown if you don't want to drive. Renovated recently so felt clean.

I absolutely loved the calm, quiet rural feel of the area and the little group of vacation properties were in a beautiful setting. I loved that there was a kettle to make a cup of tea! So many other places just had a coffee machine and I don't drink coffee. It was great to be able to sit on the porch or outside at the picnic table and sea the ocean in the distance. We were in cottage number 1, right on the road but there was no noise at all. Very quaint and old style charm to the furnishings.
Great location with ample free parking. We liked that it was not right in the middle of the busiest area of town but a short walk away (5 mins) and much quieter. Room was clean but fairly basic in terms of in-room amenities, although it was a very good size for our 3 night stay. We also appreciated (and made use of) the large fridge in the room.
