The rooms were nice, there was a wardrobe area and the shower was a good pressure. The balcony was fantastic and the pool was a great spot to relax. Not too far from the beach and restaurants. We had a problem with the airconditioning and they were quick to get it fixed.

Absolutely loved our stay at Chokoro House. It was absolutely incredible. The staff were so nice and friendly. The owners were extremely kind and helpful giving us plenty of great recommendations. I had an amazing stay at Roots Inn, right in the heart of Paje and just a short walk from the beach! The inn is located above the fantastic Roots Restaurant, where the Asian fusion food blew me away. Their Japanese gyoza dumplings and Kurozu karaage were absolute highlights!
The inn is run by a lovely couple, and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. Despite Zanzibar’s occasional electricity issues, Roots Inn has a generator, which was super reassuring, and the WiFi was great too.
If you’re looking for a cozy, budget-friendly spot to rest after exploring Zanzibar during the day, I’d highly recommend Roots Inn. Great value and an all-around wonderful experience!

The location was very good, near facilities and the beach. The owner Mayssa is a very warm person that was welcoming and facilitated in everything we wanted. My stay was very nice and comfortable. The room was clean with own bathroom and shower. The villa located close to the beach - next to the corner around 40-50 meters. The breakfast was also good. The manager Tuma was extremely kind and supportive. Thank you!

It is literally just by the beach. The staff are friendly and very welcoming. Since I have been to the northern part of Zanzibar, I would say I didn’t like the breakfast that side. Here the breakfast was marvelous

Great location, near to the beach and plenty of food and drink places. Rooms were as described, we had no qualms. We had breakfast one of the mornings and we found it to be good value for money. The best part of our stay here was the great host Vanessa, she was so welcoming and helpful in giving us recommendations in the area and overall ensured we had a great stay!
Great hostel ! Clean and tidy, great location next to Paje's round about, few minutes walking from the beach.
The AC is working well inside the dorm. There is a kitchen if you want to cook your own meals !

The taxi for arrivals was arranged but for departure was bit complicated.
The first driver didn’t were he was supposed to drive us, so we had to stop change because it not on his way.
The aesthetic was beautiful, it’s like a small boutique hotel/villa. Literally a 2 minute walk from the main beach with all the restaurants/cafes and a 10 minute walk from the main street/ markets.
The room was very spacious with AC and mosquito nets on all the beds.
The staff are all so polite and friendly.
Breakfast always came with a fresh fruit platter and fresh juice.

Rooms and communal areas were very clean. Lots of space to chill out! or work, if you wanted.
This isn’t a party hotel, as in it is quiet in the evenings, but it is very social and great to meet people. The two owners are really helpful, social and great fun!

The guesthouse has great location in the centre of Paje, 5 min to the beach. The room is big and has comfortable furniture.In spite of central location, it was quite quiet compared to other places I stayed at.The breakfast prepared by Sophie was amazing! Fresh fruit juice, vegetables every morning. It wasn't the case everywhere. Absolutely my number 1!
