Everything, but especially the people. Li and Lucy took amazing care of us from the moment the ferry docked until our return ferry left. We went to Green Island to dive and accidentally stumbled on Lian Chinq as the other place we booked messaged us that they only could give us dorm rooms. Li messaged us almost immediately after we booked. Diving? No problem. Americans not able to sort out the ferry situation due to not learning Chinese in school (yet)? No problem, they booked our ferry tickets. Look at little lost following google maps off the ferry? No worries, Li came and grabbed us off the street. Really can’t say enough good things about Li. She is so sweet and so smart and speaks excellent English. She arranged boat and shore dives for us and accompanied us on the boat dives. She set us up with electric scooters. Such a friendly, professional person that any business owner should be thrilled to have found. The hotel itself is a dive shop in the front, hotel in the back across a small courtyard. The hotel can’t be but a year or two old. It’s impeccably clean and well appointed with none of the wear showing from an island that’s kind of dive industrial complex busy. Lucy made us excellent breakfasts and between dive snacks and was super accommodating of our dietary restrictions. She also speaks wonderful English and is incredibly friendly and great at her work.

We loved the quietness of the property and its location where we could see the ocean. The staff were super friendly and kind in helping us navigate different aspects of our weekend on the island, not just with our hotel stay. Transportation is limited on the island, except for motorbikes/electric bikes for rental, and the staff were generous in providing us rides to and from the harbor and shuttling our luggage for us when we had returned our bikes early the night before. They provided extra towels and additional breakfast too when my husband wasn’t full yet after the main serving!
The staff also worked closely with the bike rental/scuba diving/snorkeling place, and the manager from the bike rental/water activities place was kind enough to drive us to the local clinic when my husband needed to go there for some stitches following an accident during scuba activities! All in all we were very impressed by and grateful for all that this hotel and staff had to offer. Hope to be back one day!

Was nice and convenient, was kind of like a toy house, lots of wall art. Host is helpful and speaks English as well as Mandarin. And he helped us rent scooters and took our luggage for us.

It’s so close to the dive spot and snorkelling spot the owner and staff are very nice and thoughtful.They invite me for lunch and family dinner too.i can’t drive or bike so the owner arrange for me everything and make my trip so easy and comfortable. She also arrange for me to see the island with private transport, so i went to all the nice places around the island.I am amazed by the kindness of Taiwanese people . I would definitely stay here again in future.
One of the best hostels in Taiwan. David, the host, is very friendly. He takes an interest in you and is keen to help. I arrived at Green Island with no cash but David let me pay for the accommodation in GBP and gave me change in TWD which was very useful as I was unable to get cash from the ATM and most places on the island only accept cash. The hostel is less than a 5min scooter drive away from the harbour next to a quiet beach so you’re far away from the crowds and town and can see the stars at night.
Great location, close to boat arrival, excellent view of Shilang diving and snorkling beach. Large comfortable room, decoration eclectic. Best of all was extremely helpful and friendly host Yanki.
Great location, right next to the ferry port and opposite a great shore dive/snorkel beach. Quiet, clean and super helpful staff. Shared facilities to make your own breakfast/dinner if required (though there are plenty of food options just down the road).
