For a good price, I was able to get a private room with a private hot spring. The staff member watching the front desk didn't speak English, but with google translate he was able to help me with my questions.
The hotel seems a little dated, but is functionally well equipped. I had a comfortable stay--I particularly enjoyed the hot spring.

This place is very nice: the room I got with the patio was very large, clean and comfortable and the patio for the room that includes it is massive. They also have a washer on every floor, and a dryer on every other floor (I didn’t know this initially, but there was one on the floor above me).
The staff here is also very patient and nice despite the language barrier. They offered me a free ride to the bus station and gave me a refund for days I didn’t order the breakfast.

Great location on the national bike route. Super well set up for people doing the round island tour. Its a real old school type hostel, beds were nice. Nearby to the beach, big temple, night market. Owner is a family, very friendly people. Lots of old photos on the wall of previous eras of guests.
