We had the immense pleasure of staying for six nights at the Patamma Hideaway in the serene Nan region of Thailand. This place is an absolute haven for anyone looking to escape the hustle and stress of city life. From the moment we arrived, we felt a sense of peace and tranquility.
The property is beautifully maintained, offering plenty of opportunities for meditation, leisurely walks on the property and farm, or simply sitting on the balcony with a coffee and looking across the lake.
The food was another highlight of our stay. Each meal was crafted with fresh ingredients from their very own organic plantation. The attention to detail and the vibrant flavors truly showcased the care that goes into their culinary offerings.
The staff at Patamma Hideaway were exceptional—always friendly, attentive, and ready to go above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. A special mention goes to the general manager, Neung, who made our experience even more memorable. Since we stayed longer than most guests, he kindly offered to personally show us around the area. This gesture exemplified true Thai hospitality, and it left a lasting impression on us.
He introduced us to the stunning beauty of the surrounding mountains, with breathtaking viewpoints that were worth every step. He also took us to some local sightseeing spots that gave us a deeper appreciation for the region. Surprisingly, one of the most fun activities in the area was feeding adorable sheep and alpacas on a small hill—a delightful experience that brought out our inner child. You will need a car to experience the region on your own, though, since the property is somewhat remote.
If you're looking for a peaceful retreat that combines comfort, nature, and authentic Thai hospitality, Patamma Hideaway is the place to be. We left feeling rejuvenated, inspired, and grateful for such a wonderful experience.

very spacious and comfortable room with loads of natural light. the room has a little terrace set in a beautiful garden with lots of bird life. the room is much prettier than it looks in the photos. breakfast was delicious and very very generous. we stayed two nights and were served different Thai foods each morning, and they were some of the best Thai food we’ve eaten on our trip. the home stay was located in a very quiet residential area, just a short walk to the Nan night market and other significant sights in Nan. we didn’t use them, but free bikes were available. excellent wifi. comfortable bed. modern bathroom.

It’s a beautiful old house in a quiet laneway very close to Wat Phumin (and its famed mural), with timber floor full of characteristics. The breakfast lounge used to be an charming old kitchen. The owners and their staff are just so courteous, friendly, and quite knowledgeable about the area.

Very quiet nice bungalows located in lush green garden. We loved the garden. Very good concept of keeping the car close to your bungalow, at the same time not disturbing other guests and not spoiling the greenery.
A surprisingly nice and quiet place at the edge of the city. It is a 30 minutes walk to the city center. You pass by the 7-Eleven shop but the place itself looks like a small beach resort on a small island the whole place is really nicely made. They constructed a kind of Terrace where you can watch over the fields around and also see the skies at night, and they also have a possibility to wash your clothes I really can recommend this place
The hotel is in a great location on a quiet leafy side road. My room was comfortable and there was tea , biscuits and a fridge in the room. The staff were very kind and friendly and helpful in arranging my taxi to the airport. They don't provide any tourist info but the Tourist Office has an excellent cycling map and the hotel provides free bikes.
Very peaceful and rooms are in small cottage like buildings, with only 2 rooms to a building, so very private and quiet.
The host Khun A was amazing and could not help more if she tried. Very attentive and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble.
