The property was so much nicer than expected from the photos online, we had no idea there was a tennis court and an orchard that we were allowed to gather fruit from. Vera, spoke multiple languages and we were able to communicate just fine with Google Translate. The breakfast she makes everything from scratch including cakes, jams and preserves. It was an amazing stay and we wished we could have stayed longer than we did.

Ângela is a perfect host-she welcomed us like royalty and made us feel like adored family. The rooms are well decorated, comfortable and impeccably clean. Ângela is an amazing cook and gifted us with many special treats during our stay. Breakfast was delicious and generous- with fruits, fresh orange juice, delicious fresh baked goods, yogurt and fantastic granola. Bath gel, shampoo, hair conditioner and hand soap were provided in the room. We did not ask if a hair dryer was available, but there wasn't one in the room. The room had plenty of outlets for charging. Every room has a window with delightful views of the village streets or the valley and every room has heating. Ângela is an attentive host, always available for any thing you may need and extremely knowledgeable about local history and sightseeing tips. The home is beautiful, stylish and perfect for a getaway with friends and family. We had a delightful stay and will return again.

Great location for nature lovers. Plenty of critters and plants, nice walks nearby. Nice animal park with traditional portuguese breeds and some wild animals that were injured and can no longer survive in the wild. Also a very elusive fox! Friendly and welcoming staff.
