The bedroom was spacious, clean and well decorated. The bed was comfortable (especially the pillows) and the fans worked well to keep the room cool. Claudia was absolutely wonderful! Her breakfast was simple but delicious and well presented- exactly what we needed before hiking. We also really enjoyed the terrace as a place to relax in the late afternoon.

Guarda Rios is set on the seafront in Vila Nova de Milfontes, less than 1 km from Lighthouse Beach and a 13-minute walk from Patacho Beach.

We had such a lovely, relaxing stay at Guarda Rios. The rooms are clean, light and airy. Our bathroom was generously sized with a great shower. The hotel is well located and close to the beaches. They have beach parasols that you can borrow, which saved us buying one. There’s a large variety of great restaurants nearby.
Breakfast is a highlight - fruit, eggs, cereals, bread, pastries, meat and cheeses. The breakfast room is really pretty and you can sit indoors or out. Maria and the whole team are so welcoming and kind. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel.

For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Nice historical B&B. Great location in the heart of the pretty town Odemira and close to the Rota Vincentina trail. Nicely decorated and spacious room. Breakfast included.
This was a lovely place, right in town but very quiet and secluded. The room was fine and the host was lovely. Breakfast was terrific and included warm pasteis de nata!
The owner of the place, Hélder, was available and attentive from the moment of the booking confirmation until the end. He kindly met us at the time of arrival, gave all necessary information, and also left a basket full of fruits to enjoy during our stay. The house is full of stories of his travels; it's almost like a little museum. There is a great atmosphere around, a very quiet spot to enjoy peace, and at the same time, it's close to the beautiful beaches. Everything was lovely, and our pup also enjoyed the green area around.

we enjoyed everything, from the key locker check-in, to the honesty bar beer on the sun terrace, the style of the house and the room, to the excellent breakfast and the great host Cláudia.
This is a very “boutique” guesthouse with large clean rooms and an excellent breakfast and would be fine for young energetic travelers capable of carrying their luggage up steep cobblestone walkways culminating in 34 stairs to reach their room. As an elderly disabled person, the access was awful and booking.com should clearly flag Casa da Umbria as unsuitable for the elderly or disabled.
This cottage is super charming, located in a very quiet place in the middle of the nature.
Easy to reach the coast from the location.
Strongly recommend it!
