The property was stunning, interesting and very comfortable. Was my favorite property on this trip by far! Adrian was a delightful, attentive host, responsive to any and all of our needs and requests. And the fresh breakfast with homemade eggs, fresh squeezed orange juice, delicious breads and more was a true treat. We did not get to use the outside facilities but they looked perfect (including a dip pool!).

Apartment is charming. Spacious, airy, beautiful light and views from many windows. Furniture is comfortable, wifi is fast. Owner, Dora, is delightful. Fridge and pantry stocked with food. The bar/restaurant downstairs is also a gem.

Absolutely lovely to relax by the gurgling river in the heat of summer. Only drawback was the very spotty wifi and 4g coverage, but that forced us to relax even more
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
Great location in the region, with access to main sights within 15/20 minutes drive, Spain including.
Despite the central location to Portagem town, the street it is located in is a quiet one.
The bedroom was cosy.
Great balance for value/cost.
Lovely room with four-poster bed and private terrace. Excellent breakfast with local cheeses, prosciutto and preserves. View from the terrace would been amazing but an unusual storm shrouded the whole little village in cloud.
Just a short walk to the castle.
The location was cool, quiet and beautiful. The room was small, but comfortable and well-organized, and it had a superb private veranda shaded by a huge pine tree. I spent many happy hours relaxing and working there.
The breakfasts were also well organized. I rather liked the clever way Chinese soup spoons were used to serve small portions of jam.
Peace and quiet in the Alentejo. A beautiful location for a perfect stay. Wonderful room with great decor and superb attention to detail. Dalia is a perfect hostess; breakfast was exceptional with local products of the highest quality. A charming place to stay.
Fantastic boutique hotel with very helpful staff and excellent breakfast. Location couldn't be better and parking a available for free just few metres from the hotel.
Lovely, spacious, clean & characterful room in a charming & historic building, situated in a great location.
Car can be parked a few metres away.
Lovely little store downstairs with specialist local foods, etc.
Joăo is a fantastic host - and even mailed me something I foolishly left behind! Complete star 👍
Great location in the centre of Marvao. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable bed and very good shower. Excellent breakfast. We enjoyed Varanda restaurant very much.
