A very nice property that shows the best of Portuguese rural interior areas, in a mystical mountain.
The staff is very accommodating and the place has many cozy touches, such as candies and fruits spread throughout. The village had a strong roman presence, and it shows, so even in the village (Matança), you can enjoy some sight seeing, and you are fairly close to Trancoso (historical town, with medieval city center), Guarda (historical vity with an impressive cathedral), and Serra da Estrela peak.
The announced big breakfast, really has you feeling that you got your money's worth since it is exquisite and abundant.
