I stayed 6 nights and it was amazing! I will repeat for sure. Very helpful staff, very good room, aircon was working perfectly, water pressure the best I have gotten in an island so far. Wifi always working. Price I paid for the room was really good. Everyone was very helpful, they rented me a scooter and the prices were better than any other place.
The location is very convenient as well.

Everything. 😊 we had a big Appartment with a balcony. The pool is great, especially as there are nearly no hotels with pools in Bantayan. Location is super, in walking distance to an amazing beach and just a very short tricycle ride into town. Jürgen and Rhynie are super nice and always helpful. And Bantayan is a very beautiful and local island. We loved it.

The location is excellent. It's a 2 minute walk to the beach and 3-5 minute walk to restaurants. There are no signs (it's opposite the red and blue wall, down the path by the other red wall - Google maps is correct) but most tricycle drivers seem to know where it is. A tricycle ride from the port should cost 20-100 pesos depending on your negotiation skills. It's only 2km away. The property was quiet. I liked the free water refill station, communal kettle, coffee (but there's no tea), shared dining table and balcony chairs.

R&D Island Lodge provides an excellent base for exploring Bantayan Island, thanks to its prime location near markets, beautiful beaches, and food vendors. The staff, especially Laica, were incredibly helpful, allowing us to cook in the kitchenette so we could enjoy local delicacies like Buwad. Rebecca, presumably the owner, was also very communicative, which eased my mind while traveling solo.
During my stay, I particularly enjoyed Kota Beach, which is just a short distance away. The proximity to local street food vendors was a delightful bonus, allowing me to indulge in authentic flavors. Additionally, renting a motorbike was easy—just ask Laica for assistance. Overall, my experience at R&D Island Lodge was fantastic, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy the beauty and culture of Bantayan Island!

Very friendly owner, helped us to get transport in the early morning. Free water and cheap motorbike rental. Aircon is super quiet, one doesn't hear it at all.
Bed is very comfy
The view is great from the balcony if you choose seaview rooms, the territory is secured and locked at night with guard present 24/7 if that is important to you. The AC was nice and relatively quiet, not the cheap and noisy one as in most places there. The bed was good.
Great place to spend some days. Friendly and helpfull staff, clean, comfortable and quiet. Time goes slowly there. Superb kitchen. The location is privileged, with their own private beach. Don't doubt it.
The boutique hotel has an authentic Asian style. The attention to detail makes it a perfect hotel. Value for money, it's not a big room we had but it's cozy and charming. The lounge with a relaxing seating area. The breakfast is on the rooftop and the chefs prepared good eggs and bacon!
i like that's very quite, private, cheap and high quality and comfort. very beautiful place. it may not be beach front. but it's facilities is better than those beach front resorts. the beach is just 3 minutes walk anyway. the place looks brand-new eventhough it's already 5 years. wifi is reliable.
