The rooms are comfortable and clean, the breakfast was good. But what we liked the most is that we felt at home. Jorge helped us arrange all the activities around the area and with the storage of our luggage. It’s very well located, a very short walk to everything.

For the price, this Hostal is amazing value. My room was nice, had a view of the mountains, included a clothes rack, a sunk in shower (you let the hot water run for a minute) and a functioning toilet. The hostal is walking distance to Main square. They also have a small convenience service on site. I found it useful coz I bought water from them. Breakfast is on the Terrace with a fantastic view. The owner and his wife are really nice. I got stood up by a day tour. He saw how disappointed I was and called all his taxi contacts, all of whom were in Cuzco. Then he says “Wait here 5 minutes, I am going to the square to get you a taxi” and found me one!! At a reasonable price too. I got to do a day tour of Moray, Salt mines and Chinchera. Otherwise I would have wasted a whole day. I appreciated how they tried to keep my spirit while I felt worse and worse as the clock ticket by and no tour operator. I will stay here again.

The property is well appointed, with good beds and average sized rooms. We had a problem with the hot shower, but Antonio helped fix it for us.
The breakfast on the terrace was great, with a nicer mix of healthy cereal, fruit, bread, yogurt and freshly made eggs.
The owners are very friendly and always willing to help with anything we needed.

Nice hotel in a small quieter street of Ollantaytambo yet close to the Plaza de Armas. rooms are nice and comfy, the staff super nice and helpful and breakfast was excellent (freshly squeezed orange juice, scrambled eggs, fresh fruits, bread butter and jam and more !)
The view from the rooftop (where breakfast is served) on the fortress is incredible!
Great location on quiet street (no cars) with view overlooking the Inca Site. We had use of their kitchen to cook basic meals. They also gave us a heater for a small fee to help with the cold June nights. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful and arranged a taxi back to Cusco at a very reasonable rate.
Very cosy, clean and well priced. Particularly appreciated the private bathrooms. The lady who runs it is absolutely lovely, very welcoming and kind and patient with my beginner spanish. Quiet, peaceful place to stay.
Casa Samay is quaint and charming It is a walk form the town, but the scenery is stunning and the walk is very enjoyable. Carlos was so friendly and eager to help me and answer all my questions. It really feels like he’s welcoming you into his home. Very clean, and quiet too. Would definitely stay again!
