The B&B is located in a gorgeous, historical village with a unique atmosphere, which is reflected in the overall design and decoration of the house. The house was originally intended to be a home for the owners family, however, Hamad decided to rent it to tourists. This gives you the unique ability to spend a night in a historical building in a similar way how Omanis live right now.
Hamad and his son are extremely friendly, provided a wide range of delicious sweets and gave us a quick history lesson of the region and Omani tradition. Not one of the most expensive stays during our trip but one we will keep in our heart!

The bad: The Booking.com description is very misleading. Toilets smell of faeces. There is no pool or anything like it, just an enclosed gravel parking lot. The heat pump doesn’t heat.
The walls of the structure are thin, like a shed. The neighbourhood had construction noises at 6:30am. There is no wi-fi. No TV.
There were no towels (because of covid said the owner). He said he’d bring some but did not. There is only one sheet on the bed, under you, so your skin touches the blanket. Price was high, but most places nearby were even higher. What was notable was how little you get for your money.
The description really must be changed, it is incorrect in so many ways.
The good: The room is big. The kitchen had pots and pans and cooking stove. Parking was inside the locked gated compound. There were two blankets. There were not too many roaches or mosquitoes.
Very close to trailheads. Cafe a 15 min walk uphill.

Great location, with easy access to nearby sites and also close to facilities in town. The room itself was very comfortable and nicely decorated. But more than anything, the hosts were super kind and helpful!
Hamza truly is a great host, he is kind and caring and obviously loves to welcome guests.
The inn is located within the palm grove, which makes the stay quite authentic. Staying here for the whole evening and enjoying the homemade food and the peace and quiet that the place offers is a must.

Lovely guest house, charming owner with helpful tips and suggestions. Great roof terrace and guest areas. Slept well. Decent breakfast. Great location and convenient for the excellent Bait al Safah culture museum and surrounding village and the charming Misfah. Would recommend.
The guest house is a traditional clay house. Very charming and with a lot of charcter. So far it is the only house on the street that has been renewed. Hopefully more will follow. The owner is lovely and very helpful with anything. We talked to him and he recommended some things to do around the town and also told us about the history of the house. The guest house is very quiet since there are only about ten rooms and it has a wonderful atmosphere because of the clay. From the rooftop terrace there is a gorgeous view over the oasis
Great location. 4 klm from balcony walk, 1.5klm from Jebel Sham's walk. Quiet, peaceful, mountain scenery spectacular, food absolutely delicious, owner very helpful, we had no vehicle but was still able to complete walks, room was clean and sufficient, great value, owners very polite and caring. Owner drove us down off mountain for a fee, loved every minute of my stay in the beautiful mountainside. It was a pleasure to be surrounded by nature and jaw dropping landscapes.
