For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Location is perfect if you're travelling on your car. The views are lovely and the night sky is wonderful. I work as a housekeeper for a luxury lodge in Nelson and I must say our Tophouse Cottage looked fantastic; tidy and clean.
Lovely comfortable and quiet room, great shower, excellent location. We had dinner in the restaurant and the meals were great also, nothing to dislike :-)
Fantastic view and very quiet. We were close to the homestead and had a lovely meal prepared by the chef. The cabin was very tidy, and the bedding was comfortable and warm. The beds were a bit saggy but okay for one night. It was very very cold and lots of frost and the heat pump had trouble keeping up, but we used the electric blankets. Nice warm shower with heated towel rail and nice products in the bathroom.
Helen & Clint are great hosts, made us feel very welcomed. We also booked in for a 3 course meal at the property with chef Sebastian which was beautiful. Having a drink at the smallest bar in NZ was pretty cool and they have a great selection of drinks to choose from. We stayed in one of the cottages which has two bedrooms so can sleep 4 with cooking facilities, stove, oven, microwave etc. The property has beautiful mountain views, and is super close to town St Arnaud. Great people, great food, great location.
Quiet, relaxing with with stunning views, a really friendly duck and quirky bar (and great drinks prices!). Cabins are really private with air con. quick drive to lake Rotoiti.
A lovely cosy unit with spectacular views. A new heat pump had recently been fitted which kept the whole apartment very cosy. We loved the selection of flavoured teas. Very private and quiet.
Roomy, quiet, comfortable with good cooking facilities and outdoor area for enjoying the view.
Nice to be able to go down to main house for a drink or meal if you wanted. Great location for tramping in Nelson Lakes.
