Beds are warm and comfortable each bed is fitted with electric blankets, there is a microwave bar fridge, toaster, electric stove top and oven, pots pans and utensils for cooking, wall heater is enough to keep living and sleeping area cosy and fan heater is perfect for the kitchen which also heats the bathroom. Each room has a shower and toilet which is something I need for two young children. Tv with a freeview box I'd recommend bringing your own Chromecast or Amazon stick for movies if you're staying for a couple of days or more. This motel is my go-to for affordable accommodation in waiouru it has everything we need as a family it has a laundromat (cash only) next door down the long driveway, across the road from the takeaways which is handy, subway on the right and Z gas station on the left which is 24hours. Cherie is a wonderful host and we always love staying at the roadside motel.

For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
It’s a nice place and everything was really clean and modern. Great location and close to everything you need. Feels private and was a lovely place to relax.
Very welcoming and helpful man at the reception. Was great walking into a nice warm unit. Everything you could need for either a long or short stay was there. Was great having a washer and dryer available. Loved the décor. Parking undercover and room for the bikes was great, as well as a bike wash area.

This was excellent for the cost. It is a 'backpacker' type accomodation but was clean, cosy, everythinng worked well, staff were very helpful. If you are on a budget you will be very pleased, if you just like to save you will be very happy here. If you want luxury look elsewhere. But clean comfortable quiet handy, this is great. We are mid 60's and could easily pay more but like to save and we liked it and would stay here again.

THE POSITIVES: The home was light, airy, and spacious. It was well equipped and had all the conveniences you would need to enjoy a few days away with friends. Great location to restaurants, bars, and cafés all within walking distance. Situated in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood. We enjoyed the logburner ambiance.
Great location for our short stay. Clean and recently redecorated rooms and the Spa in a private area was a bonus and the staff were very helpful. Located back off the street with easy parking and in a very nice setting.
Although attached to the main house, Gables B&B is incredibly private. It's also quiet and peaceful and a well-located base from which to explore the Ruapehu region. The host is very generous with breakfast provisions and snacks, including fresh fruit and free range eggs each day. The kitchen is small but well equipped, the bed comfortable - and the bathroom is serviced daily.
