Fabulous location to Māpua town center and wharf. Sally was a consummate host. Her breakfast was a sumptuous array of breads, muffins, croissants, fresh and dried fruits, compotes, jams, cereals, yogurt, seeds and nuts, some of which were homemade by Sally. Her suggestions about the area were very helpful. She provided beach towels and chairs. The bedroom was the beginning of a guest’s comfort. There was a dining area for breakfast and snacks throughout the day and a lovely garden. A luxurious experience by a host that went above and beyond.

We had a great two night stay. The place is aesthetically very unique, and looks unreal in person. Love the overhead lighting in the main room, small details like plants and pottery pieces. It offers plenty of outdoor seating area.

I had my heart set on Joya Garden cottage the moment I saw it, and it did not disappoint. Everything about it was picture-perfect; Paulina decorated the place beautifully; it had everything we needed and more. The location was secluded yet within walking distance from the town centre. Brand new with modern decor and furniture, and a comfortable bed and chairs. In a great location on the outskirts of Mapua where you benefit from the quiet but within driving distance of the wharf and shops, and also within 30 mins drive of Abel Tasman. A lovely location within the grounds of Nicky’s home - she is a great host who was really friendly and provided a wonderfully unexpected treat of homemade muffins and a continental breakfast. A great 2 night stay!
For us the location was perfect, quiet, private and with a view ! the unit was perfectly set up with a vey comfortable bed and everything you need. even breakfast goodies and a selection of everything including fresh fruit, you only need to go to the village (very close by) for meals out. the restaurants there are excellent.
