Everything is perfect. Greeted by Lynn on arrival who explained everything to us. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean, generous breakfast options and a very quiet area, easy to find. The hot tub was very welcome after the Tongariro Alpine Crossing hike, as was the use of a bbq to grill some steaks and sweet corn for an easy night-in. We could easily have stayed longer and strongly recommend this fabulous place, thanks Lynn.

Easy to find in a perfect location - plenty of parking. Our room was spacious & cool with a ceiling fan and a terrace with table & chairs. Plenty of tea & coffee & a fabulous NZ style breakfast with lots of choice & a huge pot of tea ❤️
Tim & Mary were fabulous hosts - welcoming, professional with lots of tips for the local area - esp helpful when it rained. We loved staying here & would also strongly recommend the Hare & Copper for dinner ❤️

I really enjoyed the welcoming friendly and helpful host. Car park off the road good. Everything was available and the walk to the lake for a swim was a real bonus.

Everything! Great spot close to the lake with a wonderful garden, fully equipped and new accommodation, best breakfast with fresh fruits ans everything you need. Great hosts! They offered a lot of advise and drove us to the crossing. Absolutely recommendable! Would definitely go there again!
The hosts were exceptional. Friendly, kind and full of local knowledge. My teenager and I shared the downstairs twin room. We had everything we needed, comfortable beds, a good selection of games and books. The location was a 30 second stroll to the lake. I especially enjoyed the quiet and laid-back surroundings and it was easy to slip into holiday mode. Using the kayaks on the lake and into the river was lots of fun. I would recommend staying here.

We stayed for 2 nights in the Boathouse studio accom - a beautiful large room with ensuite - all mod cons, very quiet and private. Barb and Mike were very accomodating. Unfortunately weather was not great .. but it didn’t detract from our stay !
