Unique guesthouse with a lot of charm and character. There were two shared kitchens and several shared bathrooms. The guests were very quiet and respectful. The location was fantastic. You can walk 5 minutes uphill to one of the best views over Oslo. There are many great hiking trails in the area. Free parking and easy self check in.

Ok Here is my experience with the Guesthouse Oslo Centrum
I understand that hotels can’t control the behavior of their guests, but cleanliness should be non-negotiable. I booked a room for two nights for €155, but it was far below acceptable standards. The bathroom was filthy, the walls of the room were dirty, and even the kitchen and living room areas were unclean. To be honest, what they post in the pictures is misleading and doesn’t reflect reality. I spoke with the owner about the situation and requested a refund for half the price, but he refused to accept this. I ended up switching hotels for the second night, booking another place for €80, including breakfast, and it was a completely different experience. At First Hotel Millennium, everything was spotless and much better for the price. I would advise other guests to be cautious when booking here – this was a very disappointing stay.

A stunningly beautiful setting with an infinity pool and garden overlooking a fjord. Ingrid and Terje were wonderful hosts and terrific artists as well. The accommodations were simple but beautifully designed and comfortable. We wished we could have stayed for much longer!

Great location on the edge of the city centre. Booked a private 2 bed but got a whole 6 bed dorm to ourselves. Can come and go at anytime - I think it's 24 hour reception.
I travel a lot and this was one of the smartest hotel I stayed. You can rent an umbrella or power bank with a touch of a card and even shower tray had underfloor heating.
The room was very quiet with great soundproofing and the bed was very comfortable.

I had a private room, which was very modern, clean, comfortable and quiet. There was even a refrigerator and TV. The weather in Oslo was very cold (minus 18 degrees C), but the room was so nice and warm.
A Norwegian staff member was friendly and helpful. (Some other the staff members weren’t too obliging.) I liked the location, close to both the city center and university by public transportation. One day I even walked to the city center/Grünerløkka.

The staff are exceptionally wonderful. Really helpful and cheerful too. Room was very clean, and a great location. The place is old, not luxurious but very simple, charming and clean and I really enjoyed staying there. I would take this any day over a luxury hotel. Lots of personality.
Great location, so close to the central train station (with easy connections to airport) and all the highlights of Oslo. The lobby and common areas are modern and funky and make you feel less like you are at a budget hotel. Definitely a boutique version of budget. Bed was comfy and the room, though small as expected, was functional. Cheap coffee in the lobby!
