This was a nice surprise. There were only three rooms and even though the place was old it was well maintained and comfortable. The shared kitchen was well-appointed and the food for breakfast was generous and varied. We even had a nice private terrace to sit at the waterside.
Oh! And walking distance to the Zaanse Schans!

Leeghwater was a very nice and comfortable accommodation in the countryside. The view from our patio was so tranquil and beautiful. It was very relaxing and such a charming setting. We were able to go for a long walk along the canal in this beautiful country setting. Loved it.
Super cool accommodation resort. The sauna complex is classy and rustic, with many beautiful designs, like the Birdnest sauna.
The hotel room was spacious and comfortable with gorgeous redesigning of the fort building. Quiet & dark in the morning. I guess being a fort helps soundproofing! I slept extremely well.

Lovely apartment in a quiet area half an hour away by bus from Amsterdam Centraal. Area is perfect if you're into running. Apartment is cosy and Marit is lovely, she was always in touch if you needed her and she helped us out with a couple of things. You can get a combination of buses from right outside the apartment to go to Amsterdam for about 5€, or you can walk 20 minutes and get a single bus that will drop you off there. Great stay.
