Lovely B&B with comfortable rooms. The breakfast is individually prepared for each guest and is delicious. The host was very helpful and is an expert on Frisian culture and history, happy to explain the special traditions Frisians have within the Netherlands. The location is not central, but the city centre is easily reached by public transport.

What a great place to stay. I loved the view watching boats sailing by and passing under Noorderbrug. On weekdays, it is very lively with bicycles and people walking or running. And it is so close to Prinsentuin and the center with its wonderful sights. I loved living in Leeuwarden like this for a few days.

For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
For the price, I cannot complain - absolute bargain. It's cheap, there's a lot of young groups on a cheap night out who can be quite noisy. But the room/shower/loos are clean, wifi is good, and you are 5-10 minutes from the city centre on foot.
We made a spur-of-the-moment decision to spend the night in Leewarden and we ended sleeping in an astonishing historical building placed in a top location, just a stone's throw away from Leewarden's city center, canals and main tourist spots. The room was spacious, quiet and even had a coffee machine. We also liked the back garden where guests can chill at night. We only had a small issue with the room key but that was promptly solved by the staff at the reception. Overall, it's good value for money!

The property was just slightly away from the centre, so a very short walk from the station and all the tourist sites, shops, bars and restaurants but on a nice quiet street itself. Room was spacious and comfortable, with a brilliant shower. Staff were exceptionally helpful and the restaurant was phenomenal. Not cheap, so not somewhere we could dine every night, but as a final night treat to ourselves it couldn't be beaten.

Friendly and competent staff. Bicycle rent simple and less expensive than other providers. Close to city center (15-20 minutes on foot, 5 minutes bicycle). Free parking!

A great place to stay, across the train station of Leeuwarden, close to the city center, we enjoyed the comfort of the room, the bed was great, the cleanliness exceptional, the breakfast abundant with lots of fruit and vegetables, dairy and non-dairy options, a nice spacious lobby with many quiet corners... Would like to return to the Oranje Hotel again! Thank you!
