The property had great view of the garden and canals, it was on the first floor. TV had a nice colorful lighting that made the evening drinks very interesting. Rooms were big enough and there was enough for 2 families to stay together.

Everything. The place was like a Paradise. We enjoyed the silence and the birds singing. The owner Anke was very friendly and kind and she waited for us even though we arrived at 10 pm. She gave us bikes and indicated the bike routes and the surroundings. Really great time spent at the B&B Schipborg. We will come back.

For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
Voorhuis was excellent in a very good scenic location with restaurants and shops nearby. There were facilities to microwave food and a coffee machine. There was a dining area, large comfortable bed, sitting area and a private bathroom with good quality toiletries. We had a delicious breakfast brought to our dining area so we could enjoy it in private in our room. We only had one night but we could have stayed longer. We enjoyed the recommended restaurant which was situated on the lakeside but book early if you want a table next to the lake.
Everything from the cosiness, to the privacy, the local, the quietness, the kindness of all the hosts and guests. If you're needing a place to stay near Groningen, specially after a flight, just take a bus 9 till Eskampenweg and it'll be on the dirt road, just slightly to the right of the stop, all the way at the end. Honestly, couldn't be better.
