The family running this property are very friendly and helpful. They gave me lots of details of how to visit nearby cenotes and ruins. They also changed my room upon request. The location is great - very central. There are a lot of common areas (seating; kitchens; free tea etc). The price was overall good.

First off, the staff here is fantastic—very helpful and friendly. We needed to adjust our booking, and they quickly found a solution for us. Because of this, we stayed in two different rooms.
The first room overlooked the garden and was quiet, but the bed was too soft for our taste. The second room, located near the main entrance and close to the street, had much better beds but lacked natural light and was quite noisy. Street sounds and foot traffic through the foyer were hard to ignore, and the water pressure in the shower was poor. On the plus side, the WiFi worked well.
The property is a bit dated, but we expected that, so it wasn’t an issue. Breakfast was decent, with eggs, tortillas, bread, and fruit.
The location is central, which means easy access to the best street in Valladolid, a nearby park, and the convento, as well as lots of great restaurants and shops. However, central locations in Mexico tend to come with some noise, and this was no exception.
If you’re okay with an older property and can sleep through the noise (a common challenge in Valladolid centro), we’d recommend staying here.

Our private Queen room and bathroom, as well as the shared kitchen and facilities were clean and matched the photos online. The courtyard was a beautiful and tranquil spot to relax. All the staff we interacted with were friendly, accommodating, helpful and kind. The location was perfect and easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go, including restaurants, cenote zaci, the main square, the main bus station, the collectivo stand to catch a ride to Mayan ruins (ek balam), the convent, calzada de los frailes, etc. We also rented bikes one day from the hostel—very convenient. Excellent value accommodations. Would recommend and I hope to stay again there again on a future trip!

Beautiful grounds on the outskirts of Valladolid. Complimentary tickets to the zoo next door (even though it's a bit run down). The room was spacious, and comes with a microwave, coffee machine and mini fridge. The room was decorated like we were in a Safari! Very quiet and undisturbed. Reception was very helpful.

We had a really good stay. The hotel is a 20-minute walk away from the city center, which we liked because it's more quiet. The backyard has a lot of plants and palms, which creates a good atmosphere. The breakfast was really good with fruits and joghurt, granola, good coffee, and roasted bread with marmalade. We felt very welcome :) The staff was very charming. We'd come back.
The Hotel is in a very charming colonial style yet modern furnishings, spotlessly clean, and an oasis of calm including huge mango trees in the courtyard. It feels very private with the limited number of rooms, which in turn are spacious and very comfortable. We got a baby cot immediately despite not having pre arranged. Our stay was fantastic and among the best hotels on our 3 week trip with 3 small kids. Staff exceptionally friendly as well. Great location.
Lovely stay for a couple of nights. Simple, spacious and clean rooms with love for detail and a beautiful, lush garden with a small pool. Great location just 10 min by foot to the city center and the bus station. Valladolid is a charming small town and a close location if you would like to visit Chichen Itza.
Very clean and nice, spacious room and very comfortable bed, very quiet, nice common area with free coffee in the morning. Great location, close to the city center, nice coffee shops and restaurants, bakeries, bike rentals and literally 2 minutes walk from the bus station.

they put on lots of free/cheap events such as free tequila tasting, cheap mayan cooking class with lots of tequila shots included (both were amazing, would really recommend them) - the staff were very generous and they made sure the events allowed people to meet others/socialise
you can also book tours through them but you needed a minimum number of people and we didn’t reach that so can’t vouch for the value/quality of those

Such a lovely hostel, super friendly and helpful staff, activities available every day if you want (we loved the cooking class!) and great freshly cooked breakfasts served in the sweet garden. Our private room was simple but cute, with nice art, and was just perfect for us. The hostel is in a great location in town, on a tranquil little square, a super quiet spot but still walkable to the main parts of town in 5 mins.
