Although this property advertises a restaurant, we were unable to obtain a meal during our 3-day stay. Overall, the communication with our host was very poor. I tried communicating with the whatsapp number provided, but messages didn’t seem to be monitored and I would receive a response 12-24 hours after messaging or not at all. I also tried communicating via booking.com messages, SMS and phone calls, receiving about the same result as with whatsapp messages. Twice we asked for breakfast and were simply told hours later, “sorry, not possible.” Basically, our hosts were mostly absent and there was no customer service. The host even seemed a bit hostile at times, especially at check-in, and we felt like we were just a nuisance and not wanted there.
We went in October, at the end of the Nilaveli Beach tourist season and I assume this had a lot to do with the owner’s attitude towards us. Perhaps he was experiencing financial stress. Whatever the cause, we wished he would have refused our booking so we could have stayed in one of the numerous other guesthouses nearby where our presence would have been appreciated and we would have felt some hospitality and been able to get a meal.
Otherwise, the property itself was fine. It was very clean and a 6 minute walk to the beach as advertised. Our room had very poor ventilation so it was very humid and smelly.

Great location, right on the beach. Easy walk up the beach to a salty dogs cafe and beach lovers restaurant and bar. Rooms were simple, though were fine for the stay. We ordered pizza delivery from Kitchen Nero one day, and they delivered to our cabana. Was good to mix things up and not walk up the beach for lunch, as we were very content just lazing on the sun loungers. Breakfast is simple and plentiful. 500m walk to the main road for snacks and bottled water. Amal was great in offering to take us further if needed, in his car.

I love the location! It's right on the beach! And during the time we were there, the beach to the left and to the right from the hotel was deserted. There are only a few rooms at the hotel and guests would leave somewhere and at times it felt like we had our own private beach just for two of us! Also having breakfast and dining there is so great, because again your doing it right on the beach, so the scenery and the sounds of waves are perfect. I live how they have us so many different traditional Sri-Lankan side dishes to our order. The bungalows are located far from the main road, so you only hear the sound of waves and nothing else. Very nice owners and staff - they helped us with luggage both during check-in and check-out and did it out of genuine hospitality, not like most places in the world where they help you with luggage and stay there wait for tips. Really great place, very romantic, I hope we'll be able to come back to Sri-Lanka again and stay at these Bungalows!

We stayed at this nice homestay in Nilaveli for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The owner and her family were very welcoming and always up for a chat. The homecooked breakfast was really amazing and we wholeheartedly recommend it! Before going to the beach or on a diving tour, we always had our breakfast on our little terrace and watched the cute cats and chickens walk around in the garden.
Our host also arranged a scooter for us for a really good price and always helped us when we had questions.

Great place very near to Nilaveli beach. There are AC and None AC rooms available. Rooms are built with attached bathrooms and more like a small house where two separate rooms are available. It's very suitable for a family. There is a restaurant and these days they don't function. but in the restaurant area there is a separate kitchen to cook your own food. but you have to bring everything. The person who took care of the property is very friendly and helpful. always gives his full support to everything. Overall its a great place for a reasonable price. Hope to visit again when traveling to Trincomalee.

Nice hotel close to the beach with very friendly owner. He look after things well and are very keen to help. Beach is fabulous 🏖️. At the time we visited there was no trash at all. A perfect beach getaway in Trinco. We had an amazing time and it was a truly wonderful experience overall.

Nice laid-back guesthouse with rooms looking onto a private garden. The location is great, very quiet and only a 2 minutes walk to Nilaveli beach. Our bedroom and bathroom were clean and nicely decorated. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed but we could still have breakfast there. There are a few other very good restaurants within walking distance. We had a very relaxing stay there!
Beautiful location. Relaxed beachy vibes with chilled tunes. Spacious room, comfy beds and pillows, large fluffy towels. Naturally ventilated bathroom. Yummy breakfast and coffee and fresh seafood. Serene and quiet and private.
Everything, the Quiet , the view , the restaurant really good , the breakfast was Amazing, the best we had , the staff is really nice. We had the suite with private swiming pool and feel like we were in paradise ... no mosquito . we did the snorkeling with the hotel on pigeon island and that was great , we swam with sharks..
We would have like to stay one week overthere but we had to continue our trip ..

Right on the seafront with a beautiful ocean view from our penthouse. Very tidy, luxury and comfortable place that we enjoyed. We also liked to have our own kitchen as our private driver was also a good cook and made us fresh, delicious parathas and curry! The area was still very quiet as apparently not yet the season.
Beautiful location, gorgeous rooms with the most wonderful outside space on the balcony - felt very private, with a daybed to relax and looks over the beach / ocean. The beach was very quiet other than local fisherman and others going about their day. Wonderful staff, so kind and helpful. I was travelling alone out of season so the area / hotel was very quiet - for me this added to the beauty and charm of the hotel, and the staff were so warm and friendly I felt very well supported. Plus great coffee, breakfast and delicious dinners.
The hotel is located at the very quiet and very private part of nilaveli beach. The rooms are spacious, the breakfast was good and we had a nice bbq at the beach.
