Great location not far from shops, banks and beach. Beautiful setting in enclosed garden. Absolutely helpful host and caretaker. Spacious, comfortable cottage. We returned to the Cottage gardens on our way home adding an extra night.

This is such a unique and special experience. Any Bawa fans should take the opportunity to stay at this residence while in Colombo. The breakfast provided is generous and delicious. The Lion Pub is famous in Sri Lanka, located by the Galle Road. The rooms are decent, but the hotel feels a bit empty. Considering its location and price, it's worth it. Amenities include a bed-mounted TV and functional AC. Bathrooms are clean and odor free, and the place feels safe. Clean bed sheets and comfy beds make for a satisfying stay, though it's not a luxury experience.

Everything was perfect. Room clean and spacious with kettle, tea, coffea, towels, linens, confortable bed. Nice common places and terrasse to relax. Great location, close to restaurants, shops and beach but very quiet. And most of all, very nice staff, helpull and who take time to give a lot of advices. We highly recommend!
Perfect as per usual. Good private rooms. Quiet but at the same time the loveliest rooftop with the best chats ever having a beer. Must for any backpacker. Don't underestimate Colombo and spend a couple of days there. 15 min tuktuk to town and 10 min walk to a top beach.
Great location in the heart of Mt Lavinia although doesn't feel like it with the property having a beautiful garden which is so quiet and tranquil. The bungalows themselves are very comfortable and spacious.
Great location, quiet and close to the beach. Great staff, unobtrusive but always there when you need them. Early check in and late check out, sorted out problems with the safe quickly, gave us a free upgrade.

I’ve stayed at the Villa in Lavinia many times. Since there has been a new manager it has gotten even better. Great location (just outside the city centre (which can be very noisy and crazy) in a nice, calm neighbourhood. The staff are super friendly and helpful and everything is very clean and nicely decorated. A boutique favourite for a very reasonable price.
