Very nice hotel located in a quiet area, 10 minutes walk from the beach and the center. The room is spacious, clean, with a comfortable bed and a large bathroom and has everything you need. Breakfast is very good and varied. However, the person who makes the stay there special is the owner, who is very kind and helpful. He recommended where to eat, how to get to different places, as well as agreed to early check-in and late check-out, for which we are very grateful.
The price of the room is a bit higher compared to other accommodations we have used, but it is very visible in the standard and worth the price. We highly recommend it!

We know that Sri Lanka has high level hospitality standards, we stayed in 6 different locations during our Sri Lanka trip BUT Nirosha and Era were by far our favourite stay. We don’t give out excellent reviews easily but the hosts at Era Holiday House deserve a 11 out of 10! Everything was just so good, we don’t even know where to start:
- clean and well designed rooms with private balcony
- amazing bathroom with great water pressure and water temperature as you would like to have it! Free shampoo, soap and even toothpaste, and all of good quality.
- Extremely comfortable bed.
- excellent Wi-Fi quality and A/C
- Breakfast? Where should I start? My Malaysian born husband only likes top quality and he found it here! Nirosha is an amazing cook and food was so plentiful.
- the home is in a great location within walking distance to the amazing Mirissa Beach and also to the Main Street where there are more restaurants, supermarkets and all kinds of other shops.
- the hosts were extremely helpful with arranging our taxi to Negombo at a great price with a lovely driver.
But at the end, it was all about Nirosha, Era and his brother. My husband said he would come back to Sri Lanka just to see them again. This place is a national treasure!

This B&B is a must if you are staying in Mirissa. The location by the river is beautiful and being able to watch all the wildlife from the balcony was amazing. Would recommend staying in the Sunrise room to get the best view. The staff are all lovely and very helpful, the rooms are very clean, bed extremely comfy and breakfast was delicious. Out of our 2 week tour of Sri Lanka staying in a number of hotels and B&B's this was definitely right at the top as one of the best.

The villa and location are stunning. There are only 4 rooms. The staff will make you feel like their only guests. Lovely Spa Ceylon products as toiletries. Secure and private parking. Wonderful Old Ceylon furniture mixed in with more contemporary pictures and furnishings which work really well to create a stylish setting. Staff ran me a wonderful bath before bed. Breakfast was amazing. Coffee, juice, fresh fruits and authentic Old Ceylon breakfast favourites made perfectly.
Boutique luxury on the edge of Mirissa and one of the best places we have ever stayed. The villa itself is stunning with a very quiet and clean private beach. Although the facilities are fantastic, what really makes this property is the staff. They couldn’t do enough for the guests and went above and beyond. Only four rooms so it almost felt like having our own private villa at times. The breakfast selection is excellent and we also really enjoyed our private dinner on the beach one night. If you are thinking about staying here, do it!

Quite close to a smaller beach (secret beach). Very peaceful/calm/quiet hotel, we couldn't hear anything to our room even if we met many other customers at breakfast. Hotel is brand new and feels even a bit luxurious, can recommend!
From the moment you enter you feel like! This place is amazing but most importantly it has amazing people inside! They really take a good care of this place and will do a lot to help you! Rooms are very nice and clean with hot water and private bathroom, the garden is beautiful and green and the breakfast is just delicious! Great hostel - brilliant pool and chill out areas. When I was there it was very social with multiple travellers but obviously dependent on when you stay. Very close to the beach however in a great location so the hostel stays very quiet. Rooms are massive and all the beds have curtains and the toilets and showers and main spaces were cleaned everyday. Very quiet aircon and great storage space. Also nice kitchenette with multiple people cooking. Would really recommend!
A quaint little (very private and intimate) boutique villa. The location is great… A 20min walk to restaurants. The service exceptional, especially Aruna and the chef. The food he prepared was also delicious, he baked a variety of fresh bread every morning for breakfast.
