We had a wonderful experience at Old Park Villa from start to finish. Communication with Vijay was excellent, starting weeks before we arrived, and it never stopped. We felt like he would do anything to make our stay the best it could possibly be — and in fact he even found me some passion fruit - in a city and province where it’s definitely not in season. We were happy to meet some of Vijay’s family, including his beautiful fiancé and daughter.
The room itself was quiet and comfortable and it was good to have access to the kitchen to prepare breakfast and tea/coffee for ourselves. The villa is a big old house that is full of character and has a pretty garden full of butterflies.
The lovely and gentle and thoughtful man who looks after the hotel and grounds, Ahílan, is another special person who made our stay here memorable and comfortable. We loved it there. Thank you all for a great experience.
PS. The restaurant down Hospital street, Jaffna Authentic Cuisine JAC - has fabulous food for a reasonable price, and a nice ambience.

Great location for transportation, services and amenities. Still in a quiet neighborhood. Cleanest new building with a cool breeze from the trees around. More than enough personnel for security, maintenance etc. I rented a small single room, but there are bigger a/c rooms with plenty of common space to accommodate groups.
Berty and his wife are charming hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. Their cooking is absolutely delicious - a delight to get enjoyed. The rooms are spacious and very clean. I had left my medicines in Colombo and Berty took me I to the pharmacy to have the replaced.
Their ho e is situated in a very quiet area and you wake to the sound of a variety of birds.
A very enjoyable and comfortable stay and I will definitely stay there again when I next return to Jaffna
Lovely clean pool with comfortable loungers. Quiet room with tea and coffee making facilities. Evening meals were ok and cheap (approx 1000 LKR each). Bar served beer.
The house is down a quiet cul-de-sac, with a leafy garden and outside patio. Our room was large, with good size comfortable double bed. Air con, plus fan, plus mosquito net over bed. Plenty of sockets and good wifi. A lounge area with T.V. and dining area. Excellent delicious substantial breakfast. Allen was an extremely charming and helpful host, always willing to answer our questions, phone transport etc.
Our stay at Allens home stay was very unique! Allen knows everything about Jaffna and its surroundings and will help you in any way to make your trip up north a special one.
His garden is beautiful and quiet. The guesthouse is a 20 minute walk from the buisy city centre.
We felt completely at home during our stay. Allen is a very warm and welcoming person.

A quiet oasis in a busy city. A small 4 room villa. It was the staff who made this place a delight. Nothing was too much trouble. There is not a restaurant on site but it wasn’t a problem as the staff will arrange for dinner to be brought in. An excellent breakfast is prepared on site. Thank you to all the staff
The location of Jaffna Heritage hotel is very good, 8mn by tuk-tuk to the train station/city center and only 2mn walking distance from the Nallur Temple. The breakfast buffet is nice and the staff pleasant. The place is extremely quiet from 22:00 hrs to 5:30 hrs.

Breakfast was very nice and so copious. We were spoilt with choices and refills! They catered so kindly and beautifully for our toddler, it was great!
The staff were exceptional! Raymond (reception) a very kind, considerate and helpful Manager. Wonderful Man! On top of everything else, he also arranged transportation for us at very short notice and reasonably priced.
The gentleman serving in the restaurant was so welcoming, smiley, just lovely!
