The family at the Golden Rainbow Inn was so so nice. We stayed for a night in the tree bungalow, which was clean and spacious. They recommended a place to have a local lunch, which was delicious, truly. As the rain was pouring, the father took us to dinner in his tuk tuk, as he did for lunch. We spent the afternoon visiting the temples around, very close by walking distance.
We had a great night sleep and woke up to a big and delightful local breakfast cooked by the family.
I recommend this place if you stay in Dambulla. You'll feel safe and welcome, surrounded by a lovely family, their very cute pets and nature.

Despite this accommodation being a little far from Habarana station (which is where the train from Colombo arrives), the place itself is fantastic and the hosts were unbelievably helpful! Once I had arrived, my room was given to me straight away - it was very clean, has AC and had a private bathroom which was a wet-room type shower. The bed had a mosquito net too and was fairly comfortable but only had a sheet not a duvet. The breakfast and dinner at the hotel were delicious and home-cooked by the hosts. I had a papaya-banana smoothie as part of breakfast and it was so tasty! The host helped organise a driver for the day for my activities at a very reasonable rate and he offered to drop me to Dambulla bus station on my final morning free of charge so I could get the bus to Kandy.

I have travelled the world and without doubt my hosts here have been the most helpful and friendly people to stay with. When my hired motorcycle broke down (Royal Enfield from Colombo) the hotel owners spent hours on the phone and getting two lots of mechanics to sort it out. Our time at the Kandalama Lodge was beautiful. We felt special from the beginning. Everything was clean and tidy, the interior and decoration was on point. The bathroom outside was a bliss. We stayed at the villa with a private pool which was luxury as well. We felt so at home! Madushan made sure that we had a nice trip to Dabula and organized a driver for us. He made sure that everything was perfect.
The food - try the Sri Lankan curry it is soo good- and the cocktails were amazing!

Amazing place, we enjoyed every minute there. Located further down from the main street, so it's very quiet. However, it's still close to all the restaurants and shops. Room was spacious, clean, A/C worked just fine, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was fine, food tasty, every morning we had fresh fruits to eat. Susa - husband of the host recommended us places to visit and arranged transport for us for two whole days. We highly recommend Rock Arch - best guesthouse in Dambulla.
The location of the farm was excellent, you will find yourself in places you would not come otherwise. Pradeep's place is very well maintained, we stayed in one of the cheaper rooms and they were quite basic but that's what we wanted. If you are up for more luxury there are four new rooms which are all very modern and super clean! The farm is great and staff super friendly and helpful. It was a great way to get a peek in actual sri lankan culture. Would definitely recommend going here!

The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the owners were friendly and welcoming. The facilities met all our expectations, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Amazing bit of luxury for a crazy cheap price! Great aircon, clean and fresh rooms, lovely pool, attentive staff going over and beyond to help. Has a restaurant attached where I had an amazing kotthu, and it was also very reasonably priced given the quality.

The family running the place is absolutely adorable. They showed us around with their car, took us to a local dance show and for a Ayurveda massage, and we visited gorgeous places we would not have found ourselves.

The best guesthouse I have EVER stayed in and therefore deserves a lot of compliments. Well- equipped - almost everything you needed has been thought of by the host. It came with a touch of class and luxury too. Felt like at least a 4 to 5-star room. The room was spacious. The room was separate from the main bungalow and was therefore very private. The location was also excellent - near the main streets with shops and yet off it so that it was very quiet. Well done Rock Arch!
We booked the Standard Twin Room, it is a lot of ants in the room near the window. The owner upgraded us to the Double room with private bathroom, which was large, really comfortable and well equipped. The owners were very nice and helpful, e.g. they booked us a tuk tuk in very early morning. We rent there a scooter to go to Sigiriya and the city center. The location of the house is outside of the city in a quiet neighbourhood but not far away from the city.
