The apartment is very spacious and clean. Mine was on the first floor with a beautiful sea view and a terrace. The ones on the ground floor have a terrace with garden view. I had my own kitchen and a big bathroom.
Everything worked perfectly air conditioner, hot water, WiFi. It’s less than 2 minutes walk to a beautiful beach, 5 minutes to a big supermarket. The beach is amazing, locals are very king and look after foreigners. The place feels safe.
Neem tree is quiet and peaceful, very well suited for longer stays. It offers a lot of privacy as you get the whole apartment to yourself, but at the same time the owners are close by. They are amazing people who were extremely king and helpful throughout my stay and did everything to make it great.
They organise long tours around Sri Lanka, as well as shorter tours around the area, like mangrove boat tour, visits to turtle farm, moonstone mines, mosque, temples, Galle Fort, etc… They also arranged a transfer to the airport.
I had breakfast, lunch and diner a few times which were delicious.
Kallu the guy with dreadlocks sells very tasty coconuts on the beach. He also rents out very reasonably priced sunbeds.
I’ll happily stay at Neem Tree again and I highly recommend it.

This is a wonderful boutique hotel, literally on the most stunning stretch of beach, a long golden stretch of sand and super quiet. All the staff were so hospitable and friendly. The rooms were large, bight and well appointed, the pool is gorgeous and there is lots of space to sit and enjoy a drink and a bite to eat.
Great host and great hotel for budget travellers. Mr. Damitha helped us with all our needs immediately. Also he brought us to the city center to buy sim-cards by his car. In the hotel you can find all you need for very good rest.

Big mansion with a housekeeper and guard dog. Big pool. Clean and spacious rooms. Each room with own toilet. Great host. Brought us to buy fruits and going to the moonstone mine. Fantastic stay and near lots of shop, salon, fast food and market. Great location. Very homely. There's washing machine to wash all our clothing. Housekeeper makes great tea. Highly recommend to stay here.
The hotel is under construction so don't expect many luxuries (but it has a great future and will be beautiful when it's finished) it does its job, you sleep very comfortably, it has a fan and basic hotel things! The guys who work are charming, attentive and at all times they ask if you need anything, breakfast and dinner are very good! the hotel is away from the noise of the city and makes it very calm and quiet.
Colonial style villa is located on a quiet street, has a garden, a private pool, a separate kitchen where you can cook your own food, or ask an house keeper to cook whatever you want. It is very convenient to take a bike and move to different locations or you can use the services of Tuk-Tuk. The pool area is a great place to chill out. The rooms are large, with air conditioning and large beds.
Super clean - spotless, and with a great location close to a quiet beautiful beach. The family was incredibly friendly and even surprised us with breakfast on our last day. Well furnished room. Their English is excellent and they truly provide service and hospitality wort visiting and revisiting their place!
