This was a lovely riverfront guesthouse, with friendly and helpful staff. There is a restaurant next door, and the rooms are small but comfortable. The location is good, but be prepared to walk 10 to 15 minutes to get most places. Also, only a handful of rooms have a room, so make sure you note that in your booking.

The hotel is family owned. They speak limited English but be patient with them, they were always willing to help. Restaurant food is as good as the rest of the village and the view from the deck is worth the price of admission. I would like to visit again when the additional rooms are completed.

A $12 a night private room with warm (not hot) shower. The room is spacious. There's a fan and A/C. A bit run down and dirty as others have said - but, it's fine. Yes, there are some lizards and ants and other bugs that make their way inside - it's fine. There's a cold water dispenser. Location is fine - everything in town is walking distance (15 minutes to the bridge). Owner is friendly and helpful. Adorable kids around.
***Update: after an overnight excursion to Muong Ngoi and Sopchem, I returned to Lamorn. This time I got an upstairs room (pictured). It had a river view and was cleaner and brighter.

We got the corner room which has a view towards the mountains and the river. But the room got that old dust smell and the blanket is quite covered with dust so I got my skin rashes and allergies. The facilities are meh and also the staffs are not very nice.

Nong Khiaw is a great place to be, and I wish I had spent more time here. This lodge had a great view of the sunset and a nice picnic table right by the river. Great place to chill. Also very close to town

Quite nice. Clean. Quiet. Nice view. Good locations to eat near by. We liked to organize our tours with NK Triger Tours. The owner is a character but a good one who exactly knows whats going on if you feed him with the right information. For example for us it was nice to go on a private little boat to Nong Khiaw.
Staff is helpfull and very nice. We enjoyed our stay very much. Make sure to book in advance. A lot of people wanted to book over there but they were sold out the entire time.
Everything was amazing. The room, the peace &quiet, our private balcony, the delicious breakfast, the kind staff, the location etc…It was by far our best accomodation during our travels through Laos.
Probably the cheapest accommodation in Nong Khiaw. They have tents, dormitories as well as private rooms. Buffet breakfast is included in the price. Nice location by the river and it has a restaurant attached that serves decent priced wholesome meals.
A beautiful boutique hotel built and run with love! Nick and Kenny are great hosts who want you to feel very much at home. I had help with different aspects of my trip, ate wonderful food, played with the dogs, relaxed by the pool… Breakfast buffet is plentiful and being able to cycle around town for free was appreciated. It is a bit expensive if you’re going to spend all of your time out hiking etc so I encourage people to take some time out after you’ve done your activities in a quiet part of town and relax here!
amazing suite we had. the bath tub is amazing and the bed was incredibly comfortable. the room is a really good size and the private deck to the river is wonderful. friendly staff and a good location for a quiet location.
Although the smog from burning season obscured our view it was still a beautiful setting, I can only imagine the views with a clear sky. It's perfect for chilling. The accommodation is not luxury but your floating on a river in northern Laos what do you expect. Its comfortable and clean. We where slightly hesitant about there being no aircon, but surprisingly once the sun goes down its quiet chilly so no aircon needed. During the day the fans are more than adequate. Staff are friendly and accommodating.
