The view from the place I stayed was phenomenal. Omar and his staff made sure I felt at home from the moment I arrived, with amazing details on the check-in, food, location, and attention. I couldn't rate them higher!

For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
Accommodation in a quiet location, yet close to the port. Large rooms with good facilities (only the bathroom a bit outdated). There is a large terrace with views of the town and surrounding countryside. Friendly and helpful staff (Joseph) who arranged our transport from the airport, did our shopping and helped us with our suitcase. Shela is the perfect place to stay on Lamu!
For our short stay it was really appreciated the small additional services Shela Bahari’s team provided: the pot with a tea just to bed :))) and late check out to fit our departure. Than you a lot!
And a view from our private balcony was really amazing!
Lamu town in 30-35 minutes of walk when beaches just in a minute
It's a nice and quiet area that feels very safe and a bit away from the posh tourist places. The bed was huge and comfy. Joseph was very helpful and always reachable if we needed anything. For example, the first night, we asked for an extra fan for the room as the ceiling fan didn't do a very good job, and Joseph instantly got us one.
We had a great amount of space, and access to the terrace outside our room and the rooftop upstairs. Quick 6/7 minute walk to the beach and close to a little shop that sell amazing early morning snacks and a fridge full of cold drinks.
The room (ours was top floor room) had wonderful air flow, and constant breeze which was very welcome in the heat.
Staff were all great and very kind.
Quiet streets after 10pm with only the sound of the donkeys and the odd cat. Very cool.
Homely stay in Shela
Nice spaces on the roof to enjoy sunset or to relax
Freshly cooked breakfast (omelette + fruit)
Joseph was a great host and tried to help whenever I had questions

We loved the place was quiet and room had an amazing view.
