It is quiet and in a beautiful neighbourhood although it is quite a distance away from the bus stop. The walk to the place is lovely. I love the private bath, the breakfast, the tatami room and the coffee! I can a little bit of Mt Fuji from my room.
Open from July 2017, Guesthouse Murabito is nestled just a 2-minute stroll away from Lake Yamanaka.

WE WOKE UP AND SAW FUJI FROM THE ROOM!
Super friendly and patient hosts. Loved our tatami and futon room (#203 - see pic for view).
Excellent facilities - shared bathrooms, but you select the time you want to soak in the evening, and have it to yourself.
Friendly kitties. Eclectic decor. Free coffee and tea in cafe room.
Excellent handmade soba restaurant nearby for lunch, but be aware that many restaurants within walking distance close in the afternoon. The 7-11 becomes best option for a combini dinner :)
Nearby trails for walks and cycling. Would have loved a longer stay. We got up at 5 am and were treated to clear, cloudless views of Fuji.

It’s a pretty house with comfortable amenities. The couples are very very helpful and fun loving. They are caring and gives good spaces. It’s 10mins walk to the lake and eateries. Very quite area.
There is a fridge, microwave to head up your own food. Complimentary tea, coffee and water.
The best thing we loved is it’s away from the city, local experience to stay with Japanese couples and their warm welcoming environment. If you want quite and clean place it’s value for money.

The location is excelent, 5 min walking to the station and 15 min to the lake. The room was super clean and the bathroom and showers as well. The receptionist was super friendly and kept the hotel always tidy and clean. It has a kitchen and washing machine which was super handy. Highly recommend staying here.

Staff were really friendly, check in was easy and stress free, the private bath was absolutely perfect and worth the money. All round a good experience and lovely stay. Great view of Fuji
Really nice place where I would love to go back in spring or autumn as it's really relaxing with an amazing garden.
Looks very suitable for a calm and quiet stay for a family with kids.
The private onsen was great 👍
The bed was one of the most comfy we had in japan
The hotel is in a very quiet location. Our room had a view of Mount Fuji from the window, although we didn't get to see it due to the weather. The bathroom, although shared, was very comfortable and could be locked from the inside to become a private bathroom. There was also a hot spring. The facilities were complete, and the beds were very comfortable.
Amazing stay. The private onsen was always the highlight of our day. Room was in traditional Japanese style yet quiet and comfortable. The owner was so kind and lovely. We would definitely recommend to stay here for more than 1 night to truly relax and enjoy bicycling around the lake.
Great location that near bus stop Yamanakako Murayakuba- mae, really convenient to get buses to other places as long as you have bus schedules. Enjoyed the private onsen which you can book for an hour, it was relaxing! There are free bikes, we booked and ride the bike every morning around the lake, beautiful Fujisan
I stayed in the twin room with private ensuite. It was very clean and spacious.
Our host was so lovely and generous. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. I would stay there again in the future.
The accomodation is in a quiet street and is an easy, 10 minute walk to the shops, major bus station and the Swan Lake Pleasure Cruise.
We really enjoyed our stay!
