Rooms are basic but clean.We were able to get a private bathroom as we booked early. It's was very cold but the room had its own air conditioning for heating. The blankets were thick and kept us warn all night.

Satoru was super forthcoming with recommendations on where to go and what to eat. Everything hit the mark. The place was easy to find (even in total darkness), and is in a beautiful town Takamori from where you can see the mountains. Bonus points for the cute knick knacks and the lovely woodsy scent of the home.

We arrived quite late and Shinya was so kind to wait for us & greet us during our arrival and gave us a box of his mom homemade chiffon cake. The instruction given in the message was clear and easy for check in. The kitchen cottage was the best place for our chit chat session during our stay. For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
The person running the hotel was very sweet. The guest house was large and had everything you would need. Had a great traditional feel to it. We loved it. It was perfect for visiting Takachiho gorge the next morning. Great location.

Dinner and breakfast was exceptional. There was so much attention to detail in each dish as well as drink. Service was great, they had complimentary housemade cheese cookies and chocolates for valentines day which was lovely. They have a private onsen in each room.
We had the unit with the private outdoor bath. The unit is very spacious and well equipped. Host was very helpful and friendly. Helped us with reservation for dinner. A quiet location not far from Takachiho gorge and very near Amanoiwato Shrine.
