The owner was so sweet and she is such a warm person ! She also gave us a lot of advices as to how to acces to Mt Takao (it was very close by train). She also proposes to her clients to take them from the station to avoid them walking which I think is super nice !

Feel like home to stay. The owner is very kind to support our stay. It's very reasonable
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
I had a truly amazing experience staying here. The location is exceptionally beautiful and quiet, right in the mountains - a perfect setting to unwind. Staff are very accommodating and friendly. I had dinner and breakfast, which was truly exceptional. The bedroom and bed was very comfortable with an amazing view over the mountains. I also tried the onsen (first time ever) and fully enjoyed the experience. There are many walks and hikes, and I wish I had stayed for a few more days. I highly recommend staying here!
Everything. The view, the room, the kindness of the hosting family, the temple nearby and the beautiful nature trails. It was also very nice to experience traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast cooked and served with a lot of love. The public bath that can be privately booked for 1 hour per day was the cherry on the cake.
Location was right next to the river. Very peaceful and perfect for some birdwatching. There was a mini fridge, kettle & microwave oven for us to use. There was a small bathtub to soak our aching muscles after a long hike (set it to at least 55°C and press “auto”. Bring your own bath salts). We stayed in a traditional Japanese room so we had to make up our own futon for sleep, but that wasn’t an issue. Pyjamas aren’t provided and you need to rent the large bath towels (but pretty cheap, just 100yen).
The owners were extremely kind. Since we arrived in the evening, they drove us to the closest convini to buy some food (they also offered us to bring us to a restaurant).
The location is ideal to climb mount Mitake: next to the train station, and in front of the bus stop that goes to the Mount.
We enjoyed the quietness of the room and the warm bath. The room had a powerful heater, so although outside was cold, the room stayed warm.
An excellent stay!
Great ryokan with a lot of history. We stayed 1 night in a traditional Japanese room and was able to use the bath privately. shared bathroom facilities were very clean. The dinner and breakfast was good (need to reserve, I messaged them via booking.com) and hosts were lovely! the only comment was that the bed doona was too hot and then the room was too cold to not have it covered but otherwise a nice short stay.
