The comfort of coming and going as we pleased, and great views of the ocean. Everything was clean, and AC worked very well. Shared bathrooms were clean.
We were able to get a few rides to and from the train stations, but taxis were hard to get from the guesthouse due to taxi shortage. There is a bus stop 10 min walking from the guesthouse, but do keep in mind that it comes only a few times a day.

Very cute and very wholesome, I loved it. It’s right across the street from the beach and a shrine, and we could hear the waves at night. The room was clean and simple with a simple bathroom. It’s a surfer’s paradise and we also saw a family there which was very cute. A very nice sac-lunch style breakfast was provided for us in the morning. They asked ahead of time if we had any food allergies, and they made us a lovely vegetarian sandwich for breakfast.
Their system for onsen use was also great! They left keys for them private onsen at the front desk as a first come first served, and limited the use to 40 mins which is more than enough time. We used the stone onsen at night, and it was magical to be able to hear the ocean waves and gaze up at the stars. It feels like it is family-run and everyone, including the cook in the morning, was very friendly which is lovely. I will return here the next time I visit Shimoda!

What a wonderful place for a day or more at the beach!!! We stayed at house A and loved everything, we enjoyed eating on the huge veranda while the sun set.
Arriving By Bus was Not a Problem at all, buses run frequently from shimoda Station (bring Food from there)
Communication was easy and helpful and the hosts charming; we could use Towels the day of our departure and Even got a ride to the Station!! Arigato kaimasu🙏🏻 and all the best!!
It was a great stay. It is a single house. You can enjoy whole property. We had BBQ. Property is in deep mountain better to do enough shopping before hand.
Beach is in walking distance. A quiet village will calm you down. It feels to enjoy the relax time.
