Traditional japanese vibes, place was super clean. Feels more like I'm staying in someone's traditional japanese house than I am staying in a hostel. Room is air conditioned and you're free to set the air con to whatever setting you want (as long as other guests are also fine with it). Amenities were also there: hot and cold clean water, kitchen, microwave, there's even a shop that sells coffee and instant noodles in case you need it (payment is trust based since owner isn't there to watch it all the time). You can also borrow a bike for 100 yen per hour (up to 500 yen, then it's 500 yen for the whole day). The main shower room comes with a bathtub, and although they ask you not to fill it up, it's still nice to have the space when showering, since usually hostel showers in japan are tiny.

I liked how there was open spaces and cafe at the bottom of the room. I got to enjoy meaningful conversation with the owners and they were very nice. They are also very excited and proud of their property which is noticeable by the way they renovate and decorate the area.

We had a car so had no trouble getting to this place but it was in a neighborhood with small winding streets going around so I can imagine public transportation would be difficult to use. But the house was beautiful and serene. We were looking at buying a house in Japan so staying at all these old houses converted into guest houses was a great experience for us.

Other than the location, which was excellent, communication with property was timely and on the spot. Loved the tub and shower combo. A home away from home.

Great hostel in a central location. I stayed in the dorm and in a private room. I loved it, it is very clean and the tenant is super nice. Very cosy and beautifully decorated. Would definitely recommend to stay here.

The apartment has all the facilities you need for a longer stay.
Host is a great communicator and even offers intermediate cleaning during long stays.
Clean and relatively large room. The bathroom was rather spacious as well. The location, although outside of the city centre, was pretty good. Across the street there are several stores including a 24/7 supermarket that is much cheaper than any convenience store. Bento's can be bought there as well, and they are all freshly made.
The location is amazing. It is a bit far away from Kumamoto station but you're about a 10 minute walk away from the city center. The room was nice and quiet.

The location was very close to the castle and the city centre. The area was quiet during the night. For people to drive, the attached parking garage was nice and close and reasonably priced, with a discount from the hotel for using it.
Good location just across the river from the city center. Within 5-10 minutes walking you are in the shopping street.
- The room itself is relatively spacious.It comes with an arm chair, a fridge and a hair dryer but no kettle. You can ask for a kettle at the front desk.
- There are a couple of restaurants in the immediate area, most are in the city center though.
- The staff was very friendly and helpful.
- Private parking is offered at a fee.
- The value you get is excellent.
Great location; so convenient to move around by walking, tram to POI and bus terminal to city airport.
Room is small but clean, quiet and comfortable. Meet basic needs.
