Hostel Knot, hotel in Izu

In the Shuzenji Onsen district of Izu, close to Shuzen-ji Temple, Hostel Knot has a shared lounge and a washing machine.

My stay in Shuzenji at Hostel Knot was really exceptional, very friendly and relaxing. I stayed by myself in the twin room and it felt very comfortable, I am sure it would be comfortable for two people as well, but a real treat for a solo if you would like a little bit of extra space.

Beautiful surroundings, great location with a view on Mount Fuji. Members of staff are friendly. I would stay there any time when on Izu peninsula. Our private onsen (in the room) was great!

Great location, parking available. So many options for baths and plenty of private baths to choose from in addition to the large public bath. All facilities were very clean. Other activities available including table tennis etc. if you had children this would be a great place to stay as there are dedicated play areas, sports areas, reading corners and more for them. Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious with lots of choice. The room itself was very spacious and clean.

Back here for the second time, was here in Oct 2023 previously. Love the private onsen, and the morning view of Mt Fuji at the window. Beds were comfortable. An extremely quiet and relaxing place to get away from the bustling city.

Pretty much perfect. Excellent location just out of the main part of town but easy walking distance to everything, with access to the Sakura lined walking path along the river. Quiet, calm and peaceful and exactly as we would want a ryokan in a small and charming onsen town to be. Well prepared meals, friendly and attentive service from check in to check out

This is an amazing ryokan. The staff is extremely friendly and nice. They do all and everything to make your stay memorable. The public onsen in the ryokan was great, very serene atmosphere. The room was huge, with a private onsen. All the facilities are very clean. The food (dinner and breakfast) is amazing, tasty and beautiful. The city is nice and quiet, great to walk around. There is a small bamboo forest, a river runs thru it, nice buildings. Picturesque!

The staff were very kind and helpful giving advice about the local area. The property is quite large and located in a quiet area. The room was huge and included a full private bathroom. They were generous with the food portions - staff provided after dinner snacks (onigiri) to eat in the room. The most impressive point was the app they used to show when the private baths were open - it was so convenient!
