Good location. Located right beside the Open Air Museum and not too far from the station, convenience stores nearby. You're already on the loop to start with, so you can choose to start in Gora which is one station away or take the bus to the lake and start that way.
Common area and kitchen are nice. The dinner was really fun and a great chance to chat with other guests staying in the hostel too so I would recommend booking the dinner for sure! Staff were also friendly too, and always up for chatting.
No onsen but Yunnesun/Morinoyu is not that far away and if you have the Hakone pass you can get the bus there for free.
Earplugs in the dorm which is always appreciated!

I had a splendid stay in Hakone Tent. Having my own room was a blessing and I loved the little touches with the lantern lighting & little window teasing a sneak peek of the mountains.
The 2 private onsens were why I chose this place. They are tattoo friendly as someone who is heavily tattooed which I highly appreciate.
I had the pleasure of trying the eggplant & cheese pizza with a side of Ume plum wine for dinner and it was so delicious.
I would love to visit again sometime in the future if I visit Hakone.

The son of 40 year owners is doing a great job. Great personality and lots of information and clear advice. The stream below my room is usually a creek but due too heavy rain was a raging torrent but great to listen too. The view was great looking out at bamboo.
Very convenient location for getting around area.

The staff were extremely friendly, we felt very welcome
Lovely ambience. Our double room with private bath was quiet with a view of the garden. Our sons stayed in the single pod rooms (dormitory) which they loved. The location is good, in a quiet back street close to the main road and station. Breakfast was good. Nice toiletries.
Loved our stay here. The common room is beautiful.
A very tranquil part of town. Buses close by to get you around.
Dinner is good, however it is a very slow dinner so if you are ravenous, I don’t recommend. Haha otherwise definitely sit back and enjoy!
Beds are private and quiet.
Big kitchen was great to cook breakfast!
Lawsons not far down the road.
Great location, in a quiet area but close to public transport in Hakone! The staff was so nice, the facilities were great, especially the private onsen. It was a relaxing stay!
The property was charming with a lovely ambiance. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Ou room overlooked the enchanting Japanese garden. We had a private bath which was relaxing and peaceful and was just perfect after an active day. The location was quiet and tranquil and was a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of the large cities. The meals were impressive and excellent with our breakfast and dinner being very filling 9-10 course creations!
This place felt like stepping straight into a ghibli movie! The view from the window looked out over a river and a tree in blossom. There was so much space, the staff are really kind and helpful, the location is great - walking distance to the town and station for adventures but on the outskirts for peace and quiet. The breakfast was an experience in itself, we felt really spoiled. The Onsen was just beautiful, we booked a private one because you can't wear a swimming costume, really easy and cheap to book and just stunning.
great location, cheap beer, very cute little cabins and loved that the hostel was so quiet and everyone was super respectful. wouldnt have even known there were others sleeping in the same room!
Great location up in the mountains of Hakone. Close proximity to the tourist spots for viewing mount Fuji. Facilities was some of the fanciest and nicest places we have ever visited for a luxury spa/ryokan experience. Onsen facilities to die for - Simply exceptional. The room itself was sensational with our own private onsen on a balcony facing the mountains of Hakone. Customer service was also second to none - Even compared to other places in Japan!
