The people who run it were very kind and helpful. It was perfectly clean and comfortable. The location was central for everything that we wanted to do in Hakone. I would stay there again with no hesitation.

The old lady is very nice and accommodating. She let me leave my luggage after checkout. The room is pretty good for the price as well. The onsen is relaxing and you can also wear a yukata.

I liked the location a lot. I can't imagine a better spot, walking distance to the train station, funicular, and restaurant. The room was very nice too. Amazing rooftop views. Great value.

The owner was great, so nice and very helpful!! He even got up early for us in the last day so we can get early breakfast. It is a very small and cozy place and it feels like staying at your grandparents, a true roykan 🥰

Great location right near bus stop from train station and nice greenery view from our room. The public onsen belong to hotel and outdoor one lovely but heaps hotter than indoor. Private onsen too but u can lock door for family onsen privacy. The food was lovely and they helped make up beds after meal and pack up before breakfast.
You can use the hot springs located in the main building for free. They are open basically the whole day. You can also rent a private hot spring for 50 minutes very cheap. The room, although small, had everything you need.
This hotel has one of the most charming interiors I've ever seen. It was extremely cute and cozy. It is also in a great location, and it was very easy to walk to the street with a variety of shops and places to eat. I also loved the breakfast!
Very charming, in the middle of the woods, with traditional beautiful private and public baths. They made us choose our traditional yukata to wear in the hotel. The baths were incredible! The room is wide and the tatami comfortable. We had a delicious traditional Japanese breakfast. There is a little nice shop with traditional products inside. The property was charming with a lovely ambiance. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Ou room overlooked the enchanting Japanese garden. We had a private bath which was relaxing and peaceful and was just perfect after an active day. The location was quiet and tranquil and was a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of the large cities. The meals were impressive and excellent with our breakfast and dinner being very filling 9-10 course creations!
This place felt like stepping straight into a ghibli movie! The view from the window looked out over a river and a tree in blossom. There was so much space, the staff are really kind and helpful, the location is great - walking distance to the town and station for adventures but on the outskirts for peace and quiet. The breakfast was an experience in itself, we felt really spoiled. The Onsen was just beautiful, we booked a private one because you can't wear a swimming costume, really easy and cheap to book and just stunning.

Great location up in the mountains of Hakone. Close proximity to the tourist spots for viewing mount Fuji. Facilities was some of the fanciest and nicest places we have ever visited for a luxury spa/ryokan experience. Onsen facilities to die for - Simply exceptional. The room itself was sensational with our own private onsen on a balcony facing the mountains of Hakone. Customer service was also second to none - Even compared to other places in Japan!
