Hosts Percy & Carolina were so welcoming & kind. The breakfast was great with a choice of several tasty options. The bunk beds are very comfortable with privacy curtains & a locker for valuables. Super clean. There is also a small courtyard where you can safely leave a bike overnight. Convenient location an easy walk from Onomichi local train station, bike rental places & a supermarket with a wonderful range of food. We stayed 2 nights at the property, and would highly recommend it.
Yuji and Yunko were very hospitable. They picked us up at the ferry and at the bus stop after the bike trip. They helped us with the bike rentals. We even shared a beer in the evening with them and their daughter Nao. They spared no effort to make us feel welcome.
The room is actually the 2F of a small house on Mukaishima island. This means you get a lot more space than most hotels. Everything is clean, and the beds (twin beds) are fairly comfortable. The neighbourhood is quiet. A convenience store and 24/7 supermarket is close to the Inn, although we didnt go there. Island Country Inn is easy to reach from the Onomichi train station (not the shinkansen one), the ferry to Mukaishima is short and frequent, and as mentioned they provide a transfer from the terminal to the Inn.
We found it an ideal location to do the bike day trip over all the islands/bridges, and we would certainly stay there again.

Perfect sight seeing spot is directly on the mountain behind the villa. Super delicious creperie at the harbour 5 min on foot. Calm and zen.
Only a 5-minute walk from JR Onomichi Train Station, Guest house Yadocurly offers an ocean view and features free WiFi at the entire property. Senko-ji Temple is a 10-minute walk away.

As for the guesthouse, a renovated traditional house, it has everything you need for a quick stay. Do not look for luxury, this is not the point nor the focus, this is a grassroot, cheap experience in a small, quaint, rustic and beautiful little house with a nice common room and very nice people. Please be friendly and open to communication, these people deserve it and you'll reap more than what you came for !
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
The staff were so amazing and helpful and even helped carry our bags. Great location close to trains and right next to the Fukuyama Castle. Will stay again.
It is near the station, the perfect central spot to go to Hiroshima, Osaka, Kobe, etc.
It is a 5-minute walk to the extremely beautiful Fukuyama castle. The castle is very quiet not comparable to Osaka and more authentic like the Osaka castle. Inside the castle, it is worth it. It is very interactive. You can horse-ride and shoot at targets. Pictures are not allowed inside, but there are several occasions when you can take pictures in the castle. It is a quiet town with nice temples.
We were really excited about staying here and were greeted by charming interiors with loads of character which got us excited for a lovely stay and experience. The room was also very spacious with a separate seating area and tv.
Overall, a promising start but a good night’s sleep is always essential to any stay
