I must say, this is by far the BEST hostel I stayed at during my 2024 visit to Japan. Not only is the price affordable, but the hostel truly feels like a home away from home. They thoughtfully prepare snacks, eggs, and even yogurt in the chiller for guests, along with ready hot water. They go the extra mile by providing heat pack and earplugs, as the walls are a bit thin and some outside noise may carry. However, for me, noise wasn’t an issue at all.
The rooms & living room are beautifully decorated—so sweet and cozy. They allowed us to store our luggage in the living room after check-out, which was a huge help. When they noticed we were carrying a lot, they even gave us an extra bag ♥️♥️♥️♥️. Their kindness and attention to detail are remarkable.
The hosts also provide maps and recommendations for nearby attractions, making it easy to plan your visit.
They even surprised us with a thoughtful gesture, which I’ll keep as a secret for you to discover.🤭🤭
Their home is immaculately clean, and although the washroom is shared, the cleanliness made it a non-issue.
I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone planning to visit Fuji. It’s located less than a 3-minute walk from Fuji Station (both train and bus), making it extremely convenient and easy to find. This place is not just worth the money—it’s an experience of genuine warmth and hospitality that makes your stay truly unforgettable.

Great location opposite Mt Fuji station, very easy self serve check in process. The Japanese style room with private bathroom was a great experience - quaint & comfortable for 1 night!
Old Japanese house in the middle of the countryside, so very quiet and soothing. Hiro was a great host, and the facilities are very comfortable and complete, with kitchen, lobby, bike rental, etc. Well situated and clean.
Nice miniature onsen with good food nearby. It's a quiet guesthouse so private transport is needed. Breakfast was delicious and the owners went out of their way to recommend places of interest. You can see Mt Fuji from the entrance on a clear day. Oishi Park is also a great place to catch Mt Fuji. Worth a stay!
The hosts, Mr and Mrs Kashiwagi, were extremely friendly and welcoming. It was a lovely place to stay and breakfast was very nice, especially the Japanese style one. The Onsen is in a lovely quiet neighbourhood and there are great views of Mt. Fuji from the streets around. It has a large onsen which guests have private use of, and is really relaxing. Also Mr Kashiwagi very kindly picked me up from the station one day, and took me to the bus stop when I left.
The property was really lovely, spacious, clean and quiet. Very clean and great location. The staff are great, very accommodating even if there is a slight language barrier they were still more than welcome to help and tried to understand best they could. AMAZING view of Mount Fuji
Friendly and helpful host Hiro, easy communication in English. The hostel is cozy and charming, home-made breakfast is very nice and the common area is pleasant to spend time in. The location is quiet and the guests in the hostel are understanding and respectful of each other.
Everything was perfect! Amazing place to stay! It was very quiet, clean, it had everything we needed, the interior minimalistic and beautiful, great location. Wishing all the best and I hope to come back here someday.
The staff was very welcoming and also gave us our room 4 hours before the check-in time. Fascinating traditional style. The guest house is run by a kindhearted family that makes you feel like you're at home. They also have rental bikes for a cheap price (500¥ half a day, 1000¥ full day) and it's super convenient if you want to explore the surroundings like Kawaguchiko or the famous pagoda that you can reach in 10/15 minutes by bike. The location itself is very quiet and it makes for a perfect escape from the city.
We absolutely loved the quite surroundings and the outdoor private Onsen, absolutely exceptional and exactly what we needed after the city rush of Tokyo. I would recommend the villa for couples who need some quiet time and relaxation.
