The property was fantastic. Check-in (in 2024) was done via iPad. So be prepared with your passports! There is a code to get inside the building and a separate unique code to you for entry to the unit. The property was spacious with high ceilings and the bonus was a projection TV. It is about a 15-20 minute walk to Canal City. We did take the taxi to and from the JR station. Lawson convenience store was about two short blocks away. While it wasn't the closest to the attractions we visited, I would definitely return to stay here!
Open from May 2021, the Comfort Inn Fukuoka Tenjin is located 984 feet from Inter Media Station IMS Building. Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station and Nakasu are 4 minutes on foot from the property.

For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
Fantastic, old school Ryokan. Definitely recommended for those who want to experience Ryokan in luxury. Staff were wonderful, coffee lounge comfortable. Everything was very clean. Dinner- and breakfast service outstanding. The dinner and breakfast are traditional Japanese: while we were unable to finish all the food offered, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Futons were very comfortable.
The traditional ryokan was very nice, the Japanese ladies who attended to me during Check in and breakfast and dinner time were very friendly and tried their best to communicate with me even though they may not know how to speak English and i cannot speak Japanese. The onsen was big and quality of water was very good. It was quiet and I loved the stroll in the Japanese garden which was beautiful. The dinner was excellent and so delicious.
This is a 150 year old property which is lovingly preserved and maintained, with its own Japanese garden and onsen. Despite being near a main road, it is serene and private, you will hardly meet other guests except in passing (even in the onsen).
The room was much larger than I expected, decorated in traditional style. The service is wonderful, including an elegant lounge with free coffee and green tea. Meals are delicious and beautifully presented; dinner is in a private room, and breakfast served in your own room.
It has absolutely everything you need, great onsen, comfy beds, private bath inside the room, delicious breakfast. Room was also really spacious. It was a really great stay!
Beautiful traditional room. We loved the bath, the peaceful Japanese garden and the tea lounge. Our amazing breakfast was served in an elegant private room. The place looks exquisite and service was impeccable. We would love to come back and spend more days there.
The onsen bath was beautiful: stone ornaments and garden outside made it feel very close to nature. The whole place was very charming and had an authentic Japanese feel. I particularly loved the tea room with the piano music playing. The staff speak little English but go above and beyond to understand you and meet your needs.
The room was absolutely breathtaking - spacious, well designed and just very very cosy while being clean and charming. The property was very large and we could walk around and enjoy the small gardens and also the lovely Onsen.
