Location and views from the room were perfect, with a small balcony overlooking the main square.
Around 10 minutes walk from the main swimming area on mergozzo.
We managed to use free parking in town about 10 minutes walk from the property.
We had the included breakfast which was a pastry, coffee and juice - very nice and perfect quick breakfast. A large hot breakfast of eggs, meats, etc is available for €20pp.
Built in 2020, the property includes hot tub and solarium. There's a sun terrace and guests have access to free Wifi, free private parking, and an electric vehicle charging station.

One of the nicest places we have ever stayed at. Location, views, hot tub, breakfast, staff, the room, gardens, balcony, the restaurant.... everything was perfect.
Pictures do not do it justice how beautiful the location and gardens are!
We had a car which was important - would not want to walk from baveno / stresa without the car - but parking was free and easy to find by the entrance to the property.

Great location - the hotel is in the center of the village, opposite a wonderful lake and mountains. Private beach across the road, good breakfasts. I was impressed by the excellent restaurant right by the water, high level of service and taste and presentation of dishes for lunch and evening. Beautiful old town where you can walk in the evening. A great place for people who want to enjoy a quiet holiday, nature, Italian atmosphere and beauty. We plan to come again more than once, not far from Zurich. We were completely delighted.
Fantastic experience! The location is perfect, offering stunning views and the room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The hotel itself is charming and well-maintained, with a lovely restaurant that serves delicious meals. The owners and staff were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend Casa Castagna 1620 and we will definitely be back!

We are very enthousiastic about this new appartment! It was very spacious, everything we needed was available. The host was very friendly and welcomed us. She even brought us umbrellas, because it rained and we didn’t have them with us. And in the kitchen we found a basket with food and chocolates etc for us as a present. The bed was very good and it was very quiet at night. In the morning we had our breakfast in the sun at the roof terras with a wonderful view at the mountains. Thanks for all!!
Location. Quiet and peaceful, garden large and private our dogs loved it. 5 min drive from lake wiith lovely resturants and a couple of small grocery shops. Lovely walks all around. Host helpful and locals friendly.
